@@brentbenson2606 mine has a CV axle as well. It's due to awd.. it's a pain in the ass and just gotta work around it. Take off middle nut.. then use a rubber mallet to beat the axle thru the bearing. It'll loosen up eventually. Then be in your way until the job is done. Good luck
WeezMcCheez The wheel bearing is about 2 1/2 hours labor most shops will charge between 85 and 125 per hour. The park is slightly over 100 bucks. So a rough estimate would be around $350 $
How to Automotive ok because my driver rear is going out (making a buzzing sound) dealership wants $400. Wanted to know an honest estimate. Thanks you for responding!
How to Automotive would like to run one more detailed question by you... I had a bad front pass magnetic shock when I bought the car. Dealer wanted $1,100. I bought one off Amazon for $300 (dealer was $650). They installed it and a new mount and aligned it for $400... here's the prob now the car rides perfect but it's throwning a "service suspension" service light (never had that even with the previous obviously bad shock). Garage says the shock was used although Amazon listing says it was new... so now it's on the car and I don't know what to do...
WeezMcCheez I would start by pulling the codes on the suspension to see if it's the same strut causing the issue. There is a sensor that mounts on the suspension that could be bad not the strut itself.
Paid enough on replacing them hub bearings on my 2014 cadi xts I'm gonna take this on. The driver side going bad again, from what I know about bearings, bearing get replaced in pairs. Since both of them failed months apart the first time with a cost of $1400 for both replacements..... nah amma do this my self thanks for the guide line.
I do not make videos. But I do watch and critique plenty. Watch ChrisFix, videos. You'll be amazed by his style and I do comment on them, as well. Watch and learn my friend, watch and learn. No offense, but learn how to take a critical comment.
Yes, I do criticize other people's videos, positively and negatively. Like I said, It is not that I didn't like the video. Is that the video is lacking, according to what I'm looking for in a video. It seems that other people benefited from your video, so be it. ChrisFix, was just an example. The reason I watched the video is because I own a 2012 SRX Luxury Edit. that needs wheel bearing service. Even though your vehicle and mine are different. Still Cadillac though.
Hey howdy, where are you located? I would love to have you install all 4 strunts and my control arms on my 2013 XTS. Cadillac say they are going bad.
Do you have to do anything with the suspension? Can u just change it Without messing with the airbags?
How did you remove or put away CV axle ?
Did you ever get any info about that cv axle? Strange how it's conveniently missing from the video.

@@brentbenson2606 fwd...no cv in rear
Ugh, no video or mention of how you removed the axle? That's one of the biggest issues.
How much would you charge for this repair?

WeezMcCheez The part at the dealership is probably closer to the $200 range. Glad to help and thank you for watching.

Just wonder what scan tool you are using to deflate the airbags. Thanks

Jeremiah Diaz Exactly you can’t make your own video so you got to criticize other peoples content. I’m not Chris fix nor do I want to be.
