I was 20 when I realized and began to appreciate my mother. She is my best friend and I love her so much, she taught me how to pray, love , live, be kind, and to keep moving forward! I went through the rebellious phase and feeling like my mother was mean and didn’t understand me but now at the age of 22, my mom is my everything after God. I love her so much ❤

I always experienced this with my daughters who are both lighter than me. People always assumed they weren’t my kids and it really affected my youngest. People are so ignorant but I love these real conversations.

Oowweee! I love watching your show but Brii they are so triggering because I am literally going thru these things with my own mother. From the different skin tones (I'm bright like you she's brown like your mom) to the way they parent. When you said to your mom "you didn't have to yell all of the time" I literally felt it in my soul. Got me teary eyed because I had to teach this to my mom. It's been a struggle but we're getting better. God bless y'all.

This was good! It does get better. I’m a mother of 2 grown daughters who hated me as they were growing up because I stated on them. The only time they lived on in college was around homecoming. They wanted all of money. Now we have good times and they appreciate all that I did for them. I give God all the glory because things are better.

My husband has been in my daughters life since she was 3 and she’s 11 now and asking about her biological dad who has never been in her life either. This conversation was so important and so many blended families are dealing with this same situation and mothers are being left to pick up the emotions of the kids involved. ❤

Love this episode, im the only child with my mom, she had me at 17. So my mom and I basically grew up with each other, she’s almost like a sister to me. However I wish that she was harder on me in school. I think I would’ve made better decisions when it came to my education. But I’m 30 and married now with a 1yr old and another on the way. Me and my mom have a good relationship but sometimes certain boundaries can be crossed.

45:46 crazyyy that's my mom 😂 me & my lil bro 10 years apart and my mom seems to have amnesia about some of things she had me doing at a young age (chores, getting disciplined, etc). But I understand it more now that I moved out. Kind goes to what Leticia said, when my mom had me she was a single mom, when she had my brother she was married.
