Such a good episode! Your mom is everything! I died when she said “the Bible says spare the rod, spoil the child, so I believe in whooping that ass” 🤣🤣🤣
First time hearing about Bri Renee and her mom but loved this conversation. I love how Bri’s mom noted it was her decision to become a parent, regardless if her partner was onboard or not. Whether it’s a single parent, two parent household, or being raised by a village, as long as the child gets love and support that’s all that matters. 💯
I'm African American and my parents didn't do that. They actually encouraged me to stay and save my money. I agree with how her mom thinks though for the most part.
Just tuned in for the first time. I have to go back into the episodes. But I will say I am already a fan of Ms Renee! Count me in as 1 of the 10 million!
I wanted to do what I wanted to do at 18 and my mom made it very clear it wasn’t going down like that. At the time I didn’t like it but looking back at 18 I was stupid and young didn’t know anything my mom kept me on track. As far as gentle parenting, a lot of the parents I saw adopt that usually got some of the worst kids, because while they caught up in the gentle part they lack the discipline part. If it works in your house hold then congrats and I’m happy to hear it but alot of these kids out here lack total discipline and I see it even more in these teenagers.
I agree with your mom because I was one of those kids where a parent or parents didn’t really think it through and I have to live with the consequences.
This was so cool to watch, we really do come from all walks of life. I’m glad your Mom followed what she wanted to do and has no regrets ❤️ beautiful family!
Okay I will admit the dictatorship comment threw me off. I'm an 80s babies and so I grew up in the era of a%$ whippings. I saw the clip online but wanted to watch the entire video and I'm glad I did. The love is obvious. I can understand the nurturing part. As a grown woman, I wish I was nurtured more as a child. The roughness isn't necessary. I'm not speaking of coddling but children like to nurtured. I wish more Black women experienced that nurturing part more as little girls. We create this barrier or brick wall as adults. Again, glad I took the time out to watch the entire video. 💚
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. Nurturing is necessary and scientifically backed for people who always need data and stats. I pray black women continue to deeply heal from the relating and tenderness sometimes referred to unconditional love they didn’t receive. It’s great such a raw conversation that many women can relate to was shared. Best of luck to you both ❤
Love to see the mom and daughter conversations. I definitely believe if your mom was part of the internet era she would’ve made her mark☺️ but I’m curious to know how you found out or how was the conversation like when you found out you were conceived vía artificially inseminated
This was great! Is your mom a fire sign or fixed 👀. She was hilarious, made some great points. I think you have a great dose of each parent to make you who you are ❤. You give what you felt lacked from one and received from another. Whilst emulating your mothers hustle, & confidence. As a mother, I can say for sure she wanted to be there but would rather give up those sweet moments of seeing you at practice, so that you could have the chance to be there.
@@BriiRenee lolll, I knew it! I bet you two would probably have the most fun together on a trip or adventure of some sort. Cheers 🥂 to having a great adulthood with your parents!
I had the same idea to do a family segment on a podcast… I still might do it..we’ll I got to get the podcast Together first. That would make a good film. THE BIBLE also says no men with men or women With women..just saying since she quoted the book I still love her perspective on raising kids as a conscious choice🙏🏾
Us as people definitely need to make a conscious decision to have a baby . Both parties should talk about it . Having sex and ending up pregnant without having any conversation about it is hurting us as a community. At least if we talk about it agree on it we both are in on it. Now if someone changes there mind it’s on the woman to make that decision. After all she is the one carrying the baby . But at least let’s go into parent hood with both parents want the child . And not just want a child to trap the woman or man.
Doesn't seem like it. She said that she wanted to cuddle with her mom and she didn't get it or more one on one times. She didn't come to her cheer stuff, etc.
I see her moms point that a child could grow up saying “Why didn’t my parent want me” for women having “Oops Babies” However, the same point can be made from children born by artificial insemination.
Lol I think the conversation would’ve been better if you both let each other finish without cutting each other off BUT!!!! I do agree that people who decide to have children should make a conscious choice whether they are gay or straight because it’ll be a better environment. I also think that if parents allow their child to stay in the home past 18 the child should respect their parents home and contribute what they can while building a nest for themselves to move on. Have a plan, respect the space.
Baby your mama gives me an idea of your household with her … she over talks and thinks what she say is law. You seem so different … she seems very head strong which isn’t bad but sheesh !! Lol
Do you feel like something is missing as a AI baby? I know thats hard to answer but im just wondering have you noticed any differences that could specifically point to being an AI baby?
Confused so she adopted her first daughter at 19? I understand planning a child or children but if everyone did that how many of us would exist? Yes parents need to be responsible and raise there kids with love and honor. STOP continuing the narrative that black people kick the children to the streets at age 18. Its unhealthy! Usually it what Ms Renea said. Now the college thing to me is a privileges to have plus some people do great with a trade and have less debt. I agree some level of post ED is needed.
As a coordinator of a fertility clinic…. Brii, ALOT of women choose single mother hood! A lot. This was new as hell to me
Why? That's a selfish act.
Such a good episode! Your mom is everything! I died when she said “the Bible says spare the rod, spoil the child, so I believe in whooping that ass” 🤣🤣🤣
I know lol

Yo mama so real and raw. I love her!!!😂
I'm African American and my parents didn't do that. They actually encouraged me to stay and save my money. I agree with how her mom thinks though for the most part.

Thank you for doing this episode. I'm African American and chose to have my daughter through IUI.
I agree with your mom because I was one of those kids where a parent or parents didn’t really think it through and I have to live with the consequences.
It's a matter of fact that Momma has the charisma for 10 million followers!
This was so cool to watch, we really do come from all walks of life. I’m glad your Mom followed what she wanted to do and has no regrets ❤️ beautiful family!
Thank you! So many people are judgmental about things they’ve never heard or experienced before
Yes “I consciously became a parent”. I totally agree gay or straight!! ❤
So cute lol she gets her personality and shit talkin from her mom😂
Definitely do! Doing this show together showed me that.

It Sounds Like You Wanna Meet Him, Do You Want To Meet Your Dad?😫
I LOVE This For You, I’m Adopted EVEN Though This Isn’t The Same
10:50 Brii you so silly 🤣
Aww Bri's love language is quality time. So now I have a question did your other mom give you the quality time?
Doesn't seem like it. She said that she wanted to cuddle with her mom and she didn't get it or more one on one times. She didn't come to her cheer stuff, etc.
Want another sister? I love both of y’all ❤

“Theeeee Bible says”

If it ain’t on TIK TOK..they ain’t reading
Baby your mama gives me an idea of your household with her … she over talks and thinks what she say is law. You seem so different … she seems very head strong which isn’t bad but sheesh !! Lol
I’m in the number that chose single motherhood…
Do you feel like something is missing as a AI baby? I know thats hard to answer but im just wondering have you noticed any differences that could specifically point to being an AI baby?
Great question, we’ll address it
