- Medusa Steel Coaster is the steel reincarnation of Medusa located at Six Flags México. The original coaster was constructed by Custom Coasters International and opened in 2000. But in 2014, Rocky Mountain Construction breathed some new life into the coaster with their I-Box track improving the overall experience A LOT.

Fun Fact: The ride was only running a 5 car train, each train had orange cars AND red cars as if they were skeleton trains haha
ElToroRyan when is Coaster Idiots coming?
Also why not just name the channel Coaster Idiots?
It's called a Frankentrain you uncultured swine!
TexCoasters 101 soon! Hopefully this weekend! And I’ve thought about renaming the channel Coaster Idiots but like every single coaster channel has coaster in the name
Grant Gress you’re right. Please unsubscribe
ElToroRyan then just name the channel Idiots lol
That is HELLA shaky. (the structure, not the footage). Footage slaps as always my guys.
The structure almost shook as much as Steel Vengeance! It was crazy! And thanks man!
@MaximusEdits It is safe, just makes it look really wobbly. You'll notice in this footage it goes side to side, which I think is ok. I'm not engineer at all but I read on Reddit that up and down is where things get sketchy
Anyone who thinks this is bad needs to see the first hill on Lost Gravity.
The wood structure needs to give a little, not enough shake and it starts to stress the wood too much and vice versa
If it didn’t shake, all of that force and stres would be directed into the structure of the wood, and lead to much worse problems
Glad to see a smaller channel from the community was able to Six Flags Mexico. Excited to see your review of the ride.
Japan and now Mexico? You are grabbing my Hipster attention a lot lately!
Keep up the awesome footage :)
Thanks man!
The most underrated rmc.
It was a VERY good coaster! Maybe I’ll post a review video
god bless you for this footage mang. been wondering how this thing's been running lately, looks like it's almost at its best!
It was HAULING. And it was only running a 5 car train as well
That footage is 🔥👌🏻
The video is awesome, probably the best footage I’ve ever seen from MSC, glad you went to my home park!
I really like the little ravine it sort of drops into. Can't wait to ride this thing!
You post amazingly footage! The sound is clear. The quality is amazing. I love it! It’s amazing! Even from looking at the parking lot it sounds like a ghost 😂
This coaster seems so underrated and isn’t talked about enough. Excited to hear ur thoughts on it! Btw great footage!
Steel Vengeance, Lightning Rod, then this or WildFire… It looked like it was going very FAST.... Looked real good.
¡Hola Amigo! Six Flags Mexico is open all year (from January to December), so they do maintenance partialy to the coasters to avoid closing them. This is why Medusa runs with 5 cars trains instead of 6 during your visit. Normally runs with 6 cars trains (like a normal RMC).
And yes, they like to combine the trains colors haha xD ¡Buen video!
Ahhhh okay that makes a lot of sense! I guess they maintain one car at a time?
Yes, that's right 👍
Fun fact: One of the only off-ride footage videos with Ryan actually in it!
That track sway is unreal, wow!!
1:15 i’m worried of the shaky structure
Forget that shit, the coaster is still made of wood like the cyclone in Coney Island NY just because is "historic"
Yeah isn't the swaying structure the reason Son Of Beast had so many problems...
It’s perfectly normal for it to sway that much actually...
That’s a good thing
Bizarro at great adventure too
dang that structure is w o b b l y
Oh seriously! We were shocked when we walked under it and you can hear it creaking like crazy
That is some solid footage. I went to rcdb and the original Medusa wooden coaster opened in 2000, not 2002.
Oh whoops haha thanks
@@ElToroRyan no problem!
I think the lift hill lights were not there last year 🤔 can't wait for the actual vlog. I'm so glad I found your channel
3:43. oH mY gOd
wow thats a wiggly boi there
the structure is shaky because they stayed with the old wooden supports as you can see at 3:20 it has moss on it, they added some new wood to the uppermost part of the supports
I’m doing a video listing the top 10 coasters I’ve ridden and was wondering if I could use this footage. I’ll give you credit and put a link in the description
I want my ONE TRAIN OPS SHIRT. The quivers down my spine thinking about really set the mood
Soooo what RMC is above and below this one in ur opinion?
I think I might explain it all in a video! It’s a little hard to describe haha it’s a very good ride tho!
I miss six flags Mexico 😭
Whoa, small trains, MAVERICK VIBES!!!!!!
In fact, that trembling movement is very good because it makes Medusa release pressure, it would be bad if she stayed stationary and we know that every creation from RMC is overrated.
Therapist: 5 car RMC trains aren't real. They can't hurt you.
*5 car RMC trains:*
Such an AWESOME ride
This vid was released on my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took me this long to realise!
0:08 they see me staplin'
Medusa HYBRID Coaster
WOAH WOAH WOAH is the structure supposed to be THAT shaky? I know wooden coasters structure shakes but is it normal to sway THAT much?
Beautiful footage
Thanks!
BTW how's the back row with the 5 car train?
Holy shit that thing hauls! How does it rank compared to other RMCs?
It definitely hauls! For me it’s like upper middle tier
How does a 5 car train feel compared to a standard RMC train mang?
Alan Shao honestly, you hardly notice it haha but I’m not sure if Medusa itself feels different running a 6 car train verse the 5 car train here since we only rode it with 5
I’ll be on this thing in just over a week!
Great video!!!
Great footage as always. How does this compare to other RMC’s you have ridden?
Røcky it’s up there! I’ll make a video where I explain everything
MEGUSTO MUCHO EL VIDEO DE LA MEDUSA STEEL COASTER
beTtEr thAn stEEl VeNgeAncE?!?! NaH FaM. Nice footage mang
Rein the Folf so much better! Steel VENGEANCE is only a 1/10! And better than Woodstock EXPRESS
ElToroRyan RMC WOODSTOCK EXPRESS
1:23 is good that these structure shakes???
It's supposed to do so cuz it's wood so it's flexible and it absorbs all the energy and whips it back to the carts.
Looks worth a visit, but how safe is Mexico for a foreigner?
It's amazing bro, there are some dangerous places even for a Mexican but you will be able to meet lots of touristcal places in the city.
That ride looks like it slaps and btw are you excited for the new Nickelodeon universe park
Hell yes I am! I live less than an hour from that park
This coaster looks hotter than Takis.
For a moment I thought I was tripping, but at 1:13 the structure really was shaking, and not you holding the phone lol.
Angelo Giles it shakes A LOT! It’s super cool to see in person
@@ElToroRyan Haha, when did you go to Mexico though?
Right after the day in Orlando!
@@ElToroRyan Oh okay!
Hermoso
ElToroRyan you should make a video ranking all of your ridden RMC's
Cooper Zimmerman we’re hitting up Texas over the summer! Once I do that, I’ll rank all the RMCs I have ridden
ElToroRyan ok
that thing looks like it is HAULING !
How many train ops
is the myth true? is it the best coaster in the world?
oh thats right u dont know because u just stole taylors footage
Yes I personally have no idea. I have never left the state of NJ ONCE and will continue to steal all of Taylor’s footage
ElToroRyan no wonder this white kid was filming this ride for an hour
Ryan is forced to stay in New Jersey because he's been in house arrest for 10 years
So you just gave up trying to convince me? You’re very lucky Taylor didn’t give you a copyright strike you’re literally coaster studios but with the name el toro ryan
This is the one rmc coaster that the track looks really bad and needs a repaint already idk why? Wait isn’t it supposed to run 6 cars on the train? What’s going on lol
Brandon yeah it’s supposed to run a 6 car train. Occasionally Medusa seems to operate with a 5 car train, I think it’s due to train rehab
What the heck? So odd seeing 5 car RMC trains...
Probably shaky to flex with earthquakes
This coaster just looks like its gonna break.
haha no never, I had been there and it's safe!
Ryan are u going to Busch gardens Tampa in around a week I wanna kidnap u there
Yodeling in a pool haha I’ll fly down for the kidnapping
Great work dude! I’ll be heading here after my US, Japan and Canada tour with TPW and CoasterStudios. Vlogs on my channel!
LukeE94 nice man! You’ll love it!
Please do a review
@@mikefoster5745
Best Row? I’m going probably in a week
Dark Coasters 500 back! ITS A FREAKING RMC
TexCoasters 101 That’s what I figured but I wanted to possibly get an opinion on other seats although there were only 5 rows.
Probably the back, but front row also slaps.
Probably the back, but front row also slaps.

1:07 D:
We have this same coaster in Illinois at Six Flags Great America its called Goliath
Goliath and Medusa Steel Coaster are built by the same manufacturer, Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC). But the two coasters are very different! Goliath uses wooden track and is a brand new ground-up coaster built by RMC. Medusa Steel Coaster was previously a wooden tracked roller coaster and RMC renovated the coaster placing all steel track on the coaster and modifying its layout. Plus Goliath and Medusa feature very different layouts.
