@@Fuzzey-Gaming in new versions it became easier to set up configs for epic fight. And it's also just a matter of taste, since for example I really don't like animations from better combat. And also in better combat there are problems with hitboxes or something like that. That is, for me the choice is obvious, since I want beautiful fights with bosses and cool animations.
In all honesty, the Monster Hunter mod is the worst name you can give to a mod unrelated to the franchise, since googling the mod will only give me mods related to said franchise.

Try planning your modpack. Put it into segments such as combat, factions etc

I think better combat is more compatible with most mods. I made a custom mod pack with quests and over 240 mods. I will upload it soon. Its called EFA
