Good to continually see some Duo content. Launcher still has some way to go compared to the standard no Duo version, it's missing some customise features which is a little strange 🤨 However it's good to see the stability keep improving with the monthly updates.
Updating this comment because with an LG G8X I installed the MS launcher from the play store and forced wide mode and it works just fine. I've been using MS apps on it just because they offer better dual screen support.
There's nothing wrong inherently with the Microsoft launcher for the surface duo, honestly about the only thing that I would like to see them add would be true first-party gesture navigation. I know many of the users of this device don't necessarily care if it has super smooth animations, but that does make for a better experience. I would also like to see them add support for third party icon packs. I don't understand why they give the surface Duo a different version of their own launcher.
@@oztabletpc ah ok, did not know that. Thanks. When checking it here at Best Buy it looked like the basic Android launcher. I am still hesitant because of the form factor (Wide) as a phone.
@@oztabletpc oh really? That is great news! I was pretty bummed when I got my surface duo 2 and found that I could not use the regular launcher. I will go look for this new app then. Thanks
@@robertogerber Microsoft Launcher is installed on the Surface Duo 2 in the box. It is the default launcher on the Duo 2. It's s different version from the one in the store as it's made specifically for the Duo 2.
This is a great series on the Duo 2. Actually usage videos would be cool as well.

Have you tried Launcher 10 yet?
I can't add sticky notes to my surface duo 2! How did you manage to have sticky notes on your?
Thanks
It's an app that is part of Microsoft Launcher. Swipe to the left and you'll find it as an app option on your briefing screen.
Why is it not installed by default ? Beats me ! MS launcher on an MS product, but only if you decide to use it ? Pretty strange for me.
It is the default launcher.

Microsoft Launcher is no longer supported on surface duo 2 devices =S
That's not correct. There is a specific version for Duo 2. You might be looking at the generic version.
