    I liked it. Thanks. I used to work in a call center and handle angry customers using that line : " Just chill man, Have chamomile tea and relax. Life is a joke anyways, especially yours. So don't take things too much to heart"

      Thank you for your comment. It is strange why people get so angry over such trivial things. I also worked in a call center during grad school. I enjoyed the gig, but some customers got quite worked up.

    Angry, irated customers can be categorised in two ways :
    1. Someone who is verbally abusive.
    2. Someone who is not verbally abusive.
    People who come off as plain upset regarding the product or a service can be difficult to handle but they don't come off as very exhausting.
    Sometimes with active listening and succinct communication, the issues at hand can be resolved
    However, with regards to verbally abusive customers, it can be pretty challenging and mentally exhausting.
    They can make comments that are sexist, homophobic, racist and they even attack you personally based on what you speak, and prolly your accent.
    Tough nut to crack

      Oh no no 😅
      I've never worked as a customer service representative but from what I have seen and heard from other people you know ,specifically from my own friends and elder brothers who have had the experience, I can say that at times you might have to face someone who is verbally abusive too.
      Something that's unavoidable.
      I remember one time my brother ,who once worked as a telemarketing representative, has had to call a customer regarding this specific product and to his misery the customer was sleeping and he woke him up.
      Bang
      That guy gave my brother such an earful that he would probably remember it for the rest of his life.
      Personally attacking his accent to the point he started attacking his family.

    • @SingleStepEnglish
      @SingleStepEnglish  2 года назад +1

      I feel bad for your brother. That type of attitude exhibited by the customer is completely unacceptable. However, it doesn't surprise me. I was fortunate to have worked in a call center that took reservations and occasionally handled complaints.
