thankyou soo much i play this games for a decades but i have never taken such a deep look ty soo much!
I always thought that HOMM 3 gameplay and HOMM 4 music would be the best combo... you gave me the chance to have some second thoughts :) I still love them, just separately :D I think that HOMM 4 music is too bright for the more serious graphical theme of HOMM 3.

Constructive advice: music just a bit lower because your voice is soft (and that's a good things), and if you can do something about that plash sound it would make the video much easier to follow by my fellow OCD dudes and dudettes :D

I had finished the game without knowing this, meaning i played a longed time and had no idea or little info on these subjects, that there is a penalty and bonus movements for some lands, but not knowing how much
I had totally no idea that creatures speed might help or slow the hero, i'll try that in my future gameplays, make fast heroes with fast armies, could be helpful.
It happened that i cannot invade a town in one turn, or stop just few steps away, which is risky and the ennemy sees me, build defense, buy troops, and it is bad.

At the moment I'm trying out the mini-nostalgia template. I'm still on the fence on how to build first week. It's usually upgrade archers (playing valeska if possible) into town hall into cavaliers and citadel. There is most often a stables available in the vicinity so I can upgrade into champions. Is that viable? What are the alternatives?
How early should I try to go for enemy towns in this template being an intermediate player? Sometimes I get steamrolled by enemy AIs when I try to go for my third town. Should I wait longer then, or have gone for it earlier? Any pointers from anyone who considers themselves adept are welcome :D
Hey. It is viable strategy to build cavaliers on mini nostalgia if there is not enough gold for angels. The more enemy towns you will capture the better. (You will be able to switch treasury zones faster). On average I would say (on mini nostalgia) player captures 2 enemy towns and goes into treasury on 121.
It cost 420 movement points to get the stones. Nice.

For me that alt key for movement cost should be pernament without hotkeys
This isn't a video of the original homm3. Homm3 never reported movement points as a number sp you had to guess a little as to how far your hero will gallop. Are you using a hacked or a re-released edition?

I'm quite sure that showing the movement points is a feature from the Heroes 3 HD Mod, am I mistaking in that? I'm quite convinced that I've never seen it before I used the HD mod. :)

3:51 This confused me cos I thought "connected with road" implied that as long as there is a road leading to the town, you can enter and leave according to road-to-road costs, even if you enter/leave from/onto terrain. But I tested in game and yea entering/leaving from/to terrain has terrain costs.

20 year of experience new the game in and out and learn something new anyway :) in first 2 minutes. lol i didn't see red and brown movement on hero, like i did't care, cause you know pro player i can calculate on my own :) anyway useful info and the movement calculator very useful don't remember if we played but maybe we will.

Thanks! I am pvp player so I dont play water maps and have not researched that...
If I remember correctly on water there are no penalties and the game even does not take into account the speed of the creatures in your army. The only thing changing how far you can go on water is the secondary skill of navigation.
@@frantisekfiala3474 You have the light-houses also. :) And there are some artifacts that are related to water. :)
How surprising that the factors in this game are plenty which can influence movement points. I wonder if there's any chance of having extra cursed artifacts which negates all movement points for both the wearing heroes and their opponents. Whoever wins gets the penalty for not be able to move a single step for 2-3 days.
