Under an hour gang. I got my gel-nimbus 27’s coming in the mail this weekend. I’ve been watching a ton your videos to find a nice pair of shoes to be working and standing all day on as a nurse and also cause I want to get back into running since all I do is lifting. I was between the Hoka bondi 9, gel-nimbus 27 and brooks glycerin max. Ended up doing the gel nimbus first because they had the best discount for healthcare workers. Waiting for a couple more paychecks to come in before I end up also getting the hokas and brooks in my rotation since it’s best to rotate your shoes when working in the hospital. Thank you for all your detailed reviews brother!
The Sky plate obviously works better for you. I get the same feeling from the Edge. The Sky was just a cruising shoe for me. The Edge forces me onto my forefoot. Thats the beauty of these 2 shoes. Both work dofferently for different people.
The ticket price of the Sydney marathon isn’t as expensive as it looks because the Australian dollar is .62 compared to the US. Don’t at all worry about the fact that entries are technically closed. I can help you get a ticket from someone who’s cancelling due to injury from a local run club.
I need to try the gel-nimbus 27 for sure. Regarding Sydney, the potential jet lag from traveling to Sydney is really intense and the travel itself from what I’ve heard is exhausting so just factor that in prior to the race itself. There seem to be charity spots still available. Also, fieldroast is 🔥 lol. And omg happy birthday to your little one 🎉.
Logically if a shoe is optimised for cadence runners it should be designed to lengthen your stride, and optimised for stride runners increase your cadence. But as they've never been clear on this you do ponder if, let's say a high cadence runner buys the optimised for stride runner shoe because they want a longer stride to improve... and reverse psychology on the reverse optimisation cancels out the optimised pursuit and makes them buy the wrong one. Sales strategy is not optimal.
Lmao it's all confusing. This is why I go by which one feels better for the run - for me edge is the marathon pace/more comfortable shoe and the sky Paris is the faster more aggressive one
I can't agree more on the edge. I did 2x10k in my last marathon build with them. I held the pace perfectly, legs didn't really beat after. But I was bored out my mind, and there was nothing inspiring about them. I sent them back after 60 miles, because there is no joy in that shoe at all. You can run the paces, but you don't get any bounce. I train in the prime x og, and I adore them. I am looking for that level of fun in my race shoe. The cielo x 2 might be the play for my next mara.
The Sydney Marathon is at the end of August (usually September). It just became a major so all of a sudden it’s hard to get in, but you can definitely buy a bib off someone if you really want to run it. Officially the application was in December and then announcement was in early Jan. I didn’t get accepted but I plan to run it anyways (Sydney local).
The fact that you have to write down Edge is hilarious 😂
25:12 ayooo pause! I definitely hear what you are saying though my goat 😂
😂😂😂
The cake is fire!

That's awesome! You'll love them for that - super comfortable shoe

Appreciate the love towards the aussies mate. Big ups from Sydney!
It would be entertaining viewing to see you try the Maurten Bicarb System for one of these workouts. Sydney is supposed to be a tough course
I went TTS in the Edge. There isnt much toe room but fits better than half size up. No issues when I ran a half in them.
Carbon Don needa teach me how to tie laces like that
There's a Short showing it you can find if you search
Congrats on those fast repeats!! WOW - fun to see!!

Cloudboom strike is another good one that's close in feel to the prime x strung
@ will try that you know. I use the hypers for my easy runs - such a let down of a shoe that I didn’t want to use ON again
Yowana for President Make Recovery Runs Great Again (MRRGA) !!!!!
Dont over do it. Like Money Mike said, Dont be sorry, be careful.
👍
