    About to finish Day 2. Biggest surprise is I’m not hungry. I don’t know if that’s typical for most people.

      Its cuz ur body went into ketosis, this is the point when ur body starts burning fat instead of glucose for energy because of ur calorie deficiency so ur techniqually eating but not rlly. Usually happens about 24 hrs in

      At the end of day 4 I was uncomfortably hungry for the first time and broke the fast. Was hoping to get through 5 days. Maybe next time.

      @@julietteyork6293 I wouldn't recommend doing this type of fasting tbh, I do the ESE intermittent fasting which u basically choose 2 days in a week which for example u stop eating the evening before and fast until the next evening, it goes over the time ur sleeping so about 12 of those 24 hrs ur not actually awake and the time before u sleep u tend to not feel hungry, I've only done it for a week but fitted with running daily and not over-eating I've definitely seen a bit of result in my weight and my mood.

    After fasting guys just avoid sugar completely. Avoid carbohydrates and if you must eat carbohydrates, just make sure you eat the complex carbs. Make proteins and vegetables your main meals. Also work out to avoid regaining your lost weight and for leaner body.

      I workout Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday these days I keep protein about 1 gram per Pound of BW would you say I can fast the days I’m not working out for example Thursday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday

      If only if was that easy. I'm still extremely sensitive and picky, so changing my diet is extremely difficult but I'm trying. I heard that's a symptom of autism, might have it

    Day 2 is always the hardest. Day 3 and on are easier. My longest was 7. Its crazy how much better you feel. Just go easy on your first meal.

      These suggestions are things I’ve been doing to get from 450lbs to 328Ibs as of today. I’m one of those folk that eats the same things every week, it works and that all I care about at this point lol.
      Eggs, chopped bell peppers and spinach is a good one.
      Oat meal, yogurt and granola, assorted nuts, cottage cheese (a serving of these is pretty nice, we/i don’t want to over do it).
      Chicken and rice with a veggie of some kind, I normally do broccoli or spinach, I add chopped bell peppers if I’m feeling fancy.
      I of course put spices in all these things, I don’t support a flavorless meal plan at all, it will never be followed.
      It’s not much but a few things to play with I imagine. I hope you see this and that this comment assists in some way.
      Try to eat something that has a good variety of nutrition, Maybe even look into making nutrient rich smoothies. I’ve been making some awesome smoothies lately just from online recipes.
      Remember it’s important to focus on not eating too much or too quickly after a fast.

      @@chucklombardo8167if one fasts too aggressively while not eating a meal containing proper nutrients, over time yes our bodies with begin to metabolize our muscles.
      It’s important to focus on foods rich in nutrition always, but it’s especially important during a fast due to the primary goal of eating less food. Because of that goal we have less opportunity to get the nutrients our body needs.
      Me personally, I went on nutrition supplements when I started fasting.
      I still take them, basic stuff really… iron, zinc, magnesium, bone/joint health, omega 3 and such.

    I just finished a 5-day water fast. I do it once every season. What I really noticed this time is how bright the colors are! I've noticed that before too, but now my body is much cleaner inside, I guess, since I've been doing extended fasts regularly the past few years. I was in the city center in the evening/night time, and noticed that the colors on the traffic lights and the tail lights on the cars were so freaking bright! Almost as bright as when I've done psychedelic mushrooms. And my skin is really clearing up. I love fasting!

    It's not the "toxins released from the body" giving you body aches lol but rather all the basic electrolytes missing from your system especially muscles ... Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium AND yes Sodium (sea slat) are a must if you're planning on exercising during your fasting period...

      @@SunnyRift you're a joker ... when you're fasting for an extended period of time (and exercising ) your body starts to miss electrolytes after the first 24 hours ... here we have 72 hours and he's starting to cramp up, which is the first indication of electrolytes missing from the muscle tissue ...

    Finished a 3 day fast on Friday…first 24 hours was fine second day low energy third day wasn’t as hungry as the second day and had higher energy…and increased mental focus..had some muscle pains especially in my biceps (still sore)feels as tho your body is eating it’s own fat but also the muscle.great way to cleanse your body and mind.great for discipline and mental test

    I do a 6-7 day fast and eat for 2 days. And go back on it again. I'm trying to live without needing to eat solid food. And get my nutrients through liquads. Have ibs hydro fasting is better for me. And my body. No more pain

      Many people with IBS have reversed their symptoms eating a very low carb or carnivore diet. Sounds better than a liquid diet to me… just sayin’.

    Fasting occasionally is great for health. However I would personally just rest during a fast, because running/exercise will 'force' the body to breakdown muscle proteins to create glucose. Gentle walks OK, and usual exercise on day one (using stored glycogen) also OK , in my humble opinion!

      Umm no, during autophagy body uses our Fat to create what it needs. It is very much suggested to exercise during long fasts. I’m completing day 5, had two short workouts today just to activate the fat loss process, I take bulletproof coffee & will add small amounts of mct oil and other supps as electrolytes, creatine, kelp and a variety of herbal tees + red light panels, magnesium baths with pounds of Epsom salts daily, +++++ loads of mineral water & I am a Nursing Mom to a one year old stud. We don’t have to white knuckle during a fast but do a science based fast to get the results that we need. For me it’s mommy makeover post partum hashimotos fat loss bikini body prep while keeping my son’s milk supply going.
      Fast with the newest science not Opinion. ❤

      As an exercise addict I get hypoglycaemia (extreme low sugars) due to exercise while fasting I do for 5 days tho and workout 12 hrs due to an Ed possibly different for a healthy individual with healthy relationship with food, fasting and exercise I just take it to extremes and I end up fainting sm🫠

    Im doing my 1st fast. Im going 48 hours so far im 43 hours in! Only 5 hours left . I dont feel hungry no stomach cramps i just feel weak . Gonna break mine w a cup of chicken broth then a light meal

    During fasting, replace food and any work out with Prayer, this is true fasting.

    Shouldn’t run during fasting unless you are in zone 2 so you don’t burn muscle. You also need Some type of sea salt to help with the cramps.

    It’s definitely not the toxins, your muscles have nothing to use to repair themselves, if you didn’t do the activity you wouldn’t be achy. This is my 2nd time doing a 5 day fast and that’s what I’ve observed

    I read when you do hard exercise(fight or flight) in a fasted state you can be reducing muscle instead of fat.

    They say you should rest and keep exercise extremely moderate because the bodies doing its thing and detoxing and you don't want to use up its energy doing too much exercise which could take away from the healing effects of the fast.

    I really want to know how you say that the second day is easy and you don't feel hungry? I am reading the comments and I am in shock, in four hours I will end the second day and it is really the hardest day of my life I am very hungry and my head hurts and my stomach doesn't stop.. and now it is the middle of the night I woke up from sleep several times and every time I dream of food

    I was getting bad pain in joints and arm. Then fasted for 24 hours and all pain went.

      I had a little weird feeling in my knee joints. After 4 days of fasting all of my joints feel like i am teenager. I wanted to brake fast today but honestly i don't wanna miss out on anything good that can happen to my joints. I am very curious if this will stay that way after fasting or the pain will come back.

      I mean you can do whatever you want, many people recommend to rest but it's not necessary if you're consuming electrolytes and water. You have to think humans are just animals. Our bodies are very capable of being active, fasting is a very natural thing

    You can have Stan ekberg Eulyte electrolytes- no carbs, no maltodextrin, no calories, specially created for prolonged fasting- excessive excercise will put body into stress mode, this is not good while fasting

      omg thats me if i drink a lot of sodas with caffeine in them & then dont have any, ill get a whole migraine. it really encourages me to stay away from caffeine!!! must be god giving signs ❤

    I’ve just finished 30 hours. But when I got up I just felt so weak and my legs were wobbly. Was aiming for 48 but would have had to stay laying down as I probably would have passed out. Has anyone felt like this??

      This is typical side effect of not eating because your blood pressure comes down and heart rate slows down meaning when you get up orthostatic hypotension occurs. Nothing serious and nothing to be afraid off. First sit up and then slowly get up and that's it.

    7 days is excessive and unnecessary. 3 days max is beneficial after that it’s completely destructive to your overall health. Vitamin deficiency will kill you in the long run

    I'm having to have one cup of coffee in the morning with a little bit of milk but then just water throughout the day. Will this ruin the fast? I'm fasting to improve vision in my left eye. After suffering yet another flare up from a corneal ulcer I'm sick of having to rely on pharmaceuticals and trying anything I can to help improve things on a more permanent basis. I'm sure the prescription drops I've used over the years have made my eye worse and even temporarily don't help the way they used to a few years ago.

      @@miked5142 tbh mate I didn't stick with it long enough. Its probably something that's not gonna work unless I keep it up militantly for at least a month or month and a half. If I get back into it Il try n remember to keep u updated if there's any progress.

      @@philly3901Absolutely. I have fasted till 3p on Weekends and feel a difference but a full 36hrs will give you the autophagy your body needs to reset your body. The autophagy starts at 24hrs. Manifestations come to fruition and clearer thinking.
