I've done these while holding my paddle for a little more context. I've also reached down before changing direction and tap my paddle to simulate one of those desperation shots. Love the toe taps and variety.

That's awesome! I like how you added the paddle aspect to add a more realistic Pickleball feel to the exercises. Very creative!

There are some sparkling moments when suddenly, everything makes sense, like turning on the light of a dark room and suddenly you see everything clearly. Watching this video is one those moments. I am 53, avid Pickelball player. Playing also tennis, badminton and squash, I've experienced for a long time that working on your footwork is a simple but very efficient way to improve your game... Knowing that as part of my almost daily routine I do 5/10min rope skipping and John Cincola clock work footwork. It's good but it felt something was missing because I am not always light on my feet when I play and the split step is not yet ingrained in my head... That's till I discovered your video... I only did twice, but it already makes true sense, like natural series of moments incorporated into drills, they seem to work their magic incrementally, my feet are becoming lighter, more responsive... It's also like a dance that you learn, you get to do the moves without thinking about it and you get the work-out and physical input but because it's fun, you don't feel its constraining.... I am only at the start...maybe I report my progress in a month or 2!!! But already i Love it because it makes so much sense.. Thank you. Rod from down under!

This is amazing to hear! Wow thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m happy to hear that your improving your footwork skills to the extent that you are now lighter, on your toes, and almost dancing! That’s the fun part! I look forward to your progress! 👍🏻

Ah thank you! I definitely let you know!!... I am preparing for the Australian championship 50+ at the en of the month, in singles, men doubles, mixed and Co-ed, I absolutely need to be light on me feet!! I am looking forward to the day where I can split step without even having. to think about it... Anyway thanks again for your very mind opening drills!! Keep in touch.. R

hello! you may be happy to know that i got bronze in the Australian Championship in 50+ age category, 4.0+ level... and that's greatly part on the hard work from your footwork drills.. so thank you again!! Also at the event I got a new paddle, spontaneous buy, 6.0 Double Diamond Black 14mm and I think that helped as well!! Cheerio!! Rod

@@theoneinfinite Yes, I think it would be helpful to you followers to have a list. But perhaps these are your intuitive creations and they bear no name or description. It could help to have a name to identify the drills, so one could go down the list. I loved your Tweener video. Very through and instructive. You are an inspiration!
