The teacher at first was creepy, but as the short film continued on you came to realize that he was a sweet giant who was desperate for love. I hope to see more from you. This was very well done. Countering the expectation that all main characters would be good-looking, I liked the choice of choosing a teacher with an unkempt, bulky mien. His creepy personality was well-balanced and never treaded too far into extremes. I liked how the ending wrapped up they were searching for the same happiness in the end and the subtitles were great. I thought the order of events were thought out well and went smoothly. Thanks for sharing.
the movie is really well done. Serious, funny and it show a differen way to show this theme. Never can be easy but it is different from so many gay themed movies and, especially, never boring. The end... you must chosse the end of it. Each of us can think and feel a different end but the entire story is well developed. That's life, real life and that's the best of this short movie. I disagree I think the acting is lovely and the directing is very smart. It manages to be both funny, romantic, and a bit sad at the same time. We care about what happens to the characters and that doesn't happen by accident. I love that the story deals with people where they are and not just suffering from being gay. Being happy & loved. I felt so bad watching a teacher planning to take advantage of a heart break to start a romantic relationship with his student. That is so wrong. I hope the teacher realized this and gave up at the end. I also felt pained watching the student being rejected. That always hurt. I could relate to his situation. I love the message that it gives out in such a short of amount of time. It doesn't have anything crude or vulgar, in fact these aspects can also be applied to people looking for straight relationships, which underlines the fact that homosexuals aren't any different. What was this film for by the way? Did it win anything?.. should have...
I am curious why the teacher was behaving in a creepy way even though he might have a good intention. Is the film meant to be a part comedy to convey the message? Is being gay ordinary? Is being creepy ordinary? 'Quite Ordinary' is not ordinary: The potrayal of the teacher may send a negative message to young viewers that gay teachers may be creepy which will be regretful, in my opinion. Thank you for sharing.
I liked it. :D Very much.. It kind of was like a live action Anime... In a way. Very animated, like the flowers around Hatsukari, and the funny little noise when the Sensei shook his head. I loved it, great job. ^_^
I'm glad the teacher didn't act on his feelings and that Hatsukari wasn't as bad as I thought he was from his initial reaction. The ending was quite sad to think about. Happiness for gay men in Japan is quite difficult to find unfortunately :(
I do not mind that it's a gay themed film. What I see is that, the much much older man just has very creepy intentions. Although, the ending was a safe one. It was quite funny watching it. :)
