When I told my mum her son was gay ( me ) she accepted who I was. When I brought my boyfriend to meet her, she welcomed him, when he became my husband she told him he was her number 2 son. She's gone now and I miss her, we miss her. Treasure your mum while you can she won't be around forever!

Thoroughly enjoyed this short clip. My Mom and Dad were wonderful to me. At 21 when I first came home from Navy boot camp, my Mother asked me if I was gay. Both parents were fundamentalist Christians. When i admitted it, they both told me that although they didn't agree with homosexuality, they loved me and would accept anyone that I considered my partner to be a part of our family. My whole world opened up at that moment. I never hid the fact I was gay while in the Navy from 1976-1987. I had tWo Commanding Officers who fully embraced me as gay and even had dinner at our house. Somehow the only hated I knew of homosexuality was from myself. And it took me until I was 40 years old to embrace myself and love me. I am so happy that today's youth do not have to go through what "we" did in the 60's, 70's and 80's. There is no straight or gay, no black or white, no up or down, ONLY LOVE. And LOVE is far stronger than HATRED. LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN IN THE END. Thank you for an enjoyable film and kudos to the two young male actors. They are so beautiful together.

That scene with her mother at the end made me cry. I come from a conservative family, very religious from my mother's part. They taught me to wait until marriage to have sex with the correct partner but I didn't follow that path. I have had my partners and never wanted to marry them. Despite they didn't like (or agree) with my past choices, they never have rejected me or used bad words against me. I always have known I'm blessed to have them. Not everyone has the same luck. Everyone straight or gay should receive support from their family.

That was beautiful. I remember when my sister came out, she was 25 . She called me on speaker phone while she told our mom. She was so scared. My mom told her " I knew you gay by the time you were in the 5th grade I was just waiting for you. " I told her I knew too she didn't hide it that well. I will always be proud of my sister and will love with everything I have. My family being so accepting and well not really giving a damn about it. One of my best friends was better able to handle it when her daughter came out to her. They are a strict Catholic family. Thank you making this video. We all need positivity and love.

It breaks my heart even though I'm a girl but I feel really bad for them it's kinda suffering for them. I always wish that that everyone gets their love . I know that every gay need an equality, yes everyone needs love. I remember the time when i tell to my mother that i am gay, the things that he said to was "Its ok who you are, but i only have one request dont be fool by a man" i was so happy that my mother accept me of who i am today. As well in the story, it will give more motivational that we dont need to be afraid of who we are as long as we didnt do wrong to others.
Made me cry, and wanting to try back time,and wishing that I wish I could come out by myself and this right were taken by other person... From that point my life was totally different and I lived so sad and empty... But through the years Mom realized that live ,care and compassion made the difference. I live you Mom 💐💝🇲🇽

This story is really good. It shows actually how the family reacts after knowing that. I'm glad she accepted him but still, I want to ask why people think being gay is something awful! It breaks my heart even though I'm a girl but I feel really bad for them it's kinda suffering for them. I always wish that that everyone gets their love . In my opinion gender shouldn't matter just be happy and find someone who truly loves you.
