So the million dollar question is…… will Becky have Chris get air conditioner as part of the refurb? Paul is one of those experience friends you always want to have by your side. Such a cool dude. I subbed to his channel. Great episode and can’t wait for the next one.
Your editing and storytelling is phenomenal! The low and slow is not something that I do when flying and I can see the beauty and appeal. I usually get up into the altitudes for better performance and comfort of the cool air. Having snacks and water is also a great idea. When you need to divert from your regular plan due to weather or something unforeseen, many of these rural airports don't have restaurants nearby. Really enjoying this series!
LOVING the series! It's pretty rare that I anticipate the release of something on YT but I have been very aware of when your next episode will drop. I am not an aviator (except drone photography) but I have learned so much about aviation from you guys. I am a photographer and developing vlogger and I have learned tons from this series. Thank you for your hard work on this series. Standing by for Ep 4! -Al in Seattle
Obviously, this series is insanely amazing. I would LOVE to see a full on BTS (not just the podcast, though amazing) that walks through what different types of camera/sound equipment was used in different shots and set up! That's probably more education content than you want to do, but it would be a delight to watch.
I have DID, and growing up I played video games a lot, often platformers, RTS, or racing games. It's only in more recent years that I've realised how much I was relying on those games as a crutch for escapism. I still have DID, and struggle a lot with life, but would be far worse off without video games in my life. They've helped me in so many ways, and now I've learned about another way they've helped me. Thanks EC for such a wonderful look into a difficult topic! 👍
The "fingers" conversation reminded me that, in the military, we would sometimes use "cheerleader" on UHF, which is 246.8, for an un-briefed tactical channel.
The chills i get from this series, never once did i expect to enjoy this type of content but you both have the most infectious personalitys in the best of ways. Thank you for making this series and your videos in general ❤
Loving this series!! The edit, storyline, music….it’s all great! I live in East Texas and we are about 45 miles from Mineola. That’s crazy y’all were so close. Looking forward to the rest of the Headed West episodes.
Great series, animating the plan and then hitting every waypoint with beautiful scenic shots and informative details. Each leg of the journey was a little story moving the video along. You couldn’t have recorded or produced your trip better. And love the color grade. Well done guys. ✌🏼
Absolutely love the series and Becky you rock…. Crazy classy/profesional story telling and editing….. if you decide against the AC on refurb, rig a store bought cooler with a small electric fan and a vent hose. Fill with dry ice or blocks of ice and it will at least keep you cool for a while. 😅 Can’t wait for the rest of the series and the refurb trip back home.
I was gonna say if you were to travel in a unairconditioned helicopter again, wetting your shirt with water would help to cool you down. That's a common thing for motorcycle riders in hot weather. Then half way through, I saw you were already doing that. I am glad you found something to help cool you down. Must have been pretty warm in the helicopter bubble. Superb content as always! Can't wait for the next episode. 😊
Another great episode to follow on your trip, really fun! I am a glider pilot so I love when there is action in the air as I need thermals to stay in the air! Greetings from Sweden
Absolutely brilliant! As everyone else already said, the story, editing, music, all of it…exceptional. It’s an immersive experience, which makes it incredible to be part of. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world!
I grew up in west Texas and seeing these lands in a different light is so amazing! If there’s a book dedicated to west Texas only I will give you my money!!! well I’ll give you my money regardless 😂
Loving this series and watching it whilst on a lunch break from the UK on a Monday, my only suggestion if possible is to have some subtitles for the radio comms!
Sooooo excited for this series!! Heard you mention Reno NV and sat bolt upright! We’re in Reno! Can’t wait to see if you get up to adventure in our beautiful surroundings here!!! Wish we had known, we would have loved to shown you around Tahoe and some incredible drone spots.
loving this series! I was 2 hours away from finishing my HPPL when Covid shut down the world, and school I was training at - also destroyed my savings, but I will ge it done one day soon
Holy hell, y'all, this is so good! I'm not saying you should pitch a helicopter travel adventure show to one of the streaming services, but... You should ABSOLUTELY pitch a helicopter travel adventure show to one of the streaming services! 😍😍😍💯💯💯🥰🥰🥰
I’m so happy to finally get the chance to start watching. I just finished Ep. 3 and I feel like I’m on the trip with you. I just freakin’ love helicopters and I especially love the Whiskey Zulu (I know it’s the Millennial Falcon, but that all matte black is serving Zulu vibes to me. Can’t wait for Ep. 4. So incredible!
This leg felt like the most fun. Im interested to see how flying over deserts with low to no humidity will effect the Falcon. And I'm sure there will be an awesome shot of a wind farm in the next episode.
It was a grind but definitely fun to go airport to airport! Next weeks episode had a lot of fun excursions but the dry weather made it very challenging
These travel series' are so great. I love the contrast of Becki's face from when she did not feel well versus just after getting out of the helo with Paul. Hope you guys are able to spring for the AC in the overhaul!
17:34 Little trick on FBO fuel pump photos… take the photo in live mode and edit it to a long exposure in the photo app. It’ll fix it where you can see the display.
Hyped AF ❤ Becky - I absolutely love your editing style. You have inspired me to document my own vacation trip in a way I wouldn’t otherwise, so kudos to You :)
This is a wonderful journey for all of us. Chris, you’re a rockstar on those radios. Crisp & concise. Becky, the edits and content are wonderful. I’m captivated by your story and visuals. You both are so adventurous. Becky, try eating candied ginger for motion sickness in addition to the meds.
Great job as always but I believe Becki said the were stuck in West Virginia but I believe they were stuck in Wise Virginia! Big difference to those of us from WV!
Agree, filming, narration, editing, and production are so good! Really like the mini series idea. Don't know whether to watch as each episode comes out, or wait for all and binge watch. 🙂
I am loving the series! I thinks it's a bit of a bummer that you two were so close, but didn't check out White Sands National Park by Alamogordo, NM. I think you would have loved the scenery there. It's one of my favorite places to photograph! Nonetheless, I'm excited to see how the rest of your trip went!
the way you treated your channel so many series and documentaries, it's like B&C Entmt Channel. this what i want to treat my channel, series, films and docs. I want to learn Becki's hardworking workflow so much! hahaha
Ep 3 did not disappointment! So good! I’m stoked we got to see the El Paso route, I was thinking of that since the beginning, amazing !! Felt the energy 🙌🔥🔥
I love this so much, I could watch this for weeks on end! 😍 Amazing stuff, super professional editing as always... now I'm gonna sit my bum down in a corner and wait for the next part! 😂
I loved Paul. His fun facts were great. It must be so cool to have a friends with local knowledge. I grew up in a family of sailors and being with a local in new waters is everything.
Just a quick tip, instead of drinking large amounts of just water & a sports drink, spread that sports drink out with all of your water. I use 4-6 oz of sports drink to 32oz of water. That way you get a continual low level electrolyte replenishment going. Flavor for taste. This is especially important since the first few swallows of sports drink replenish and the rest is just water. Don't do that if you have a hydration bladder because the sugar in whatever form will encorouge mold growth The hoses and bladder are hard to clean adaquitly. Sports drink bottles will also accept boiling liquids but they do shrink a bit the first couple of times you do it. They last usually a winter for me doing that. The other thing I do is make one bottle of honey water if I'm going to be talking a bunch (ham radio Operations) the honey soothes the hoarse throat.
What an epic sound choice for next week's preview! This series is so great! I am a little bit envious of the people who find this later and get to binge it all at once, haha! But for real, thank you both for such an amazing adventure!
These are so good... and super interesting. Thanks for sharing, and for all the work. I always enjoy the DIY stuff but these produced series are so freaking good... could easily be on platforms other than RUclips (not that it needs to be) - it's just that good.
As ever awesome imagery and story arch. Just checked my bank account and... nope, no helicopter any time soon here! So I'll just keep with you guys. Looking forward to the next installment.
On required inspections expiring, if I'm not mistaken, you might be able to get an extension to the expiration (a 10% over-fly?) but if a substantial defect is found during an inspection then it must be fixed. You can't fly with a known defect. So the narrator is correct about possibly needing the truck to haul it to where ever. But would a person really want to extend out the required inspection? Usually not a good idea.
Absolutely loving this series... the way you've filmed it, cut it together, the colour grading... everything is just incredible. Love your work, thank you for sharing it with us. Also... I've only got 3 hours behind the controls and found that taxing enough, I don't know how you're doing the massive days you're doing. I've got a long way to go!
I remember one time when Chris came home from flight school, he had 10 hours, and he said “I don’t know if I’m ever going to get this, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done” then at some point it clicked! You got this 💪🏻
@@BeckiandChris facing a few financial constraints in that regard at the moment, business took a dive over the pandemic, but I'm rebuilding and will get back up in the air next year!

Becki, I have POTS / dysautonomia and can hardcore relate to heat making me feel super ill. Plain water isn't always helpful, try adding electrolytes next time and see if that helps!
0:49 ha, well, that answered my question from last week! I've missed your regular uploads, but what they say is true: Good things come to those who wait. These videos are REALLY GOOD.
I look forward to all of your videos. I love all of these long formats and don’t want it to ever end. Those 20-30 minites, or longer, usually seem way too short.
Becki's editing and production skills just keep getting better and better. Thanks for your hard work!
Aw thanks! Means a lot, thanks for watching!
Becki is really out here producing high quality documentaries for RUclips. 🔥
🙏🏼🙏🏼
The production value of this channel is worth it every single time you wait for another series
Appreciate it!

Oh, and it was nice to see that a FPV quadcopter and some lipo batteries made it as part of the baggage 😂

Great to hear AC is being added. @@BeckiandChris
