One of my customers here in San Diego just gave me a window cleaning hoodie that he said he got from a friend of his. Turns out his friend is Jim and it's a 20 20 window cleaning hoodie. Small world! Going to rep 20/20 window cleaning around San Diego a little bit LOL. Cheers Steve-O
Another great vid Steve, thanks, I've been getting better results lately with a technique similar to the one you show in which I keep the squeegee on the glass for the whole window, working across the top then fan down from side to side, very similar to how I would do it in hand. I've found when cutting down the sides then fanning the middle, I often was getting bleeding off the squeegee edges which was driving me nuts especially when I watch you guys making that technique look so easy.
I’m a technique #2 guy, I’ve tried #3 a bunch of times but I find I do better and faster with #2, and I find myself these days trying to squeegee as clean as possible so I don’t have to detail, I hate having to detail.
heres the one i was trying to find. need a 12 foot trad pole and a 14 inch excelerator with fliq. but literally how it comes stock. with the fliq not attached backwards and all that.
Hello Steve! I am a teenager from Germany who has been getting into window cleaning. I can't drive a car yet and thus can't use ladders/wfp. And thus I've been insecure if this can even work out since I can only use/bring extension poles, I'm especially worried since German houses/windows are kinda weird to clean lol. Do you think only extension poles can work out long term? Love your videos btw! Have a great day.
What about the window frames? Did you wash it with the sleeve and then pull it off with the squeegee? Or do you do this with a cloth, but then you need a ladder?
Hi Steve, We have 16 ft 6 panel windows and we love your videos. We bought all the tools you've recommended and they work beautifully. We are in North Carolina and streaking is a big issue. We were short on the towels/rags/microfiber cloths. Can you recommend some? Thanks!
Great pole skills can make a job go twice as fast, just got my excelerator last week and it makes pole work fun and efficient! Also I really like the liquidator channel with the excelerator, I’m sorry SteveO 😭
Your content is awesome as always SteveO. How about trying some new content like solar panel cleaning I know I get questions about it in my business have not drove into it just yet just want to see what you think maybe if you have any techniques or concerns.
Hey Tim, solar panel cleaning for us is pretty simple, we just use our WFP and use the same methods as we do with normal glass. Ill do a vid on it this summer most likely
TDS is the measurement of minerals in the water, at this location the water sucked and it was so easy to traditionally pole everything that we did it that way
How are you able to clean without using a towel to dry the squeegee. If I don't use a towel to dry the squeegee it leaves streaks on the windows. Your a pro, I'm shocked! How can it be done without streaks? I always use a towel than use the squeegee everytime.
The water here just sucks lol I get the TDS to 0 but the frames here for some reason trap so much dirt and then it takes forever to drip so with this technique I get all the uppers done way quicker.
I agree using the moerman excelerator gets the best results but sometimes the only thing that gets the job done is a ledger. Has your business slowed down due these outbreaks? I’ve had most of my corporate accounts stall till April. Stay safe👍
Heather The Window Woman we’ve only had 1 account temporarily cancel so far but we expect many more, it sucks but we’re all in this together and hopefully can all help each other get out of it. 2020 is going to be an odd year

Squeegee Perfect Cleaning it’s works on almost all commercial glass, just for some reason this place never turns out good... I honestly don’t get it lol
Couple questions for you. Do the Moerman stainless steel channels not do the same job as an Ettore channel. Just wondering if the mod is necessary. Second are you gonna do a review on the Moerman Carbonator? Thanks.
I haven't tried the Moerman Stainless steel but It could possibly be just as good, I just enjoy using an ettore brass channel. I probably won't do a review of the carbonator unless moerman sends me one lol to me its a painters pole, the Xero trad pole is so much better
Todd Matthews yes, shutting down most commercial for 2 weeks, we are going to do jobs that want it done. We’re just letting the customer decide for the most part
Do you not like to use ladders? I worked for a window cleaner in NY for years and we always would have just got up close and personal with that glass on a ladder.
I’m about to get my own company started, I am curious if you have had customers push back against pole work compared to ladder work. In all the years I’ve been cleaning windows for my previous company I never found you would get the same results.
The TDS here is 400 but there is a lot of upper glass and just for some reason every time we've done it here it just hasn't looked good so I can do all the uppers in just a few hours with this method an it looks good.

How do you clean the window frames when using a pole? (Just a question from a housewife planning to clean her own windows on the second floor)
Good Question. Unfortunately no reply.
@@Samara.Weaving I figured it out myself . I use the tip of the washer . Or/and my Maykker handy sleeve with a damp microfibre cloth.

I hope this isn't a silly question, but what do you mean when you say the TDS is really high as it pertains to why you don''t use a WFP?
TDS is the measurement of minerals in the water, at this location the water sucked and it was so easy to traditionally pole everything that we did it that way

I'm new to this industry, is it normal to scratch some windows and is there an easy way to fix it. I was using a wagtail
Is this pole long enough to reach 2nd and 3rd story homes? I rather not use a ladder, thanks!
Yes it is, some 3 stories can require a 40' but 30' will cover quite a bit windowcleaner.com/xero-micro-basic-carbon-fiber-waterfed-pole?pt=MY

How exactly do you wrap your towel around the end of the pole when you detail? I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
Just tie it around the tip like a bandana
