      @mopar507 id have to disagree with you on that one and even most trainers would as well. Just on how they are raised. Reason why you see and hear more about these compared to others is that they are 1. Very popular in this social culture, 2. Easily accessible compared to other breeds with higher price tag, and 3. Require less cost to maintain compared to other breeds. It is the owners and the lack of that have made them a dangerous animal when around others.

    • @logic306
      @logic306 4 дня назад +5

      Spaying or neutering curves the agression in dogs. A dog spayed or neutered is physiologically milder in their caracter. They have less testosterone. Less testosterone equals less aggressiveness. Less aggressiveness equals less propensity to bite or engage in attacks. Less testosterone equals less force in the bite because lower aggressiveness. Neutered and spayed dogs have better temperament and less likely to engage in vicious attacks than those who aren't.

The fines need to get heftier and a muzzle should be required for aggressive dogs. Spay/neuturing a dog is not guaranteed to alter the behavior of a dog, will it help reduce strays? Yes. Breed-specific restrictions are not the best idea. They are a slippery slope, because throughout history, there have been certain breeds that start to be considered dangerous due to a variety of factors. For example, Bloodhounds, German Shepherds, Dobermans, and Rottweilers are pretty well-known examples of dogs that were seen as dangerous throughout America's history even before the Pit Bull started to be seen as dangerous. Focusing on breed takes away from the main cause behind dog attacks--bad/irresponsible dog ownership. If we keep focusing on breed, the list only grows as new breeds start to be seen as problems. While there are dangerous dogs, you cannot judge a dog based on what breed or type of dog it is. If that were the case, then there would be nobody being attacked by Golden Retrievers, while all or at least most Pit Bulls would be attack someone. Also, with Pit Bulls, they are not one specific breed. Even in this video, there are dogs that are called Pit Bulls that are different from the American Pit Bull breed.

      Utter and complete horseshit.
      Pitbulls have always been dangerous, and it's only recently that mush-brained fools have tried convincing people that they are safe as pets. They're responsible for 80 percent of fatal dog attacks. They're DANGEROUS, and we restrict dangerous things all the time.
      Also, "slippery slope" is not a rational argument. It's a logical fallacy.

Maybe focus education on proper pet care and ownership, mandatory leash training and walking their dogs with a leash and harness at all times, no guard dogs left outside, dogs not left outside unattended or left in the supervision of minors, they have to spay and neuter their pets and get them regularly vaccinated and microchipped! They can’t leave toddlers unattended with any large dog no matter what. It is the owners responsibility to keep their pets safe and their children and neighbors safe too.
