I agree. I don't know who in this vid plays, but Renè (FLKS), Lars Lehmann or the one and only Frank Itt!!! All beasts on bass and all from germany. Thanks to Basstheworld, the go to channel for Bassist and listeners alike. 10/10❤🎉❤
These are going to sell like crazy. For someone who plays at home mostly but wants headphone out and a decent preamp, but doesn't want to shell out nearly $400+ for a pedal, I'm getting one.
Just got one. Headphones barely work. Not a core reason for getting it for me though. Just an observation. This seems common in some pre amps and amps for some reason. Maybe needs amplification Great pedal so far. Could be a great.
@@captainchunk4078That's good to know, I'm looking for a preamp to use as a practice amp mostly on headphones, and the R-26 is on my radar. Were you using a 250 ohm by any chance? I guess it's too weak for high impedance, I'm on 80.
Just got mine today. It sounds even better than I expected. It doesn't sound like a Darkglass pedal. But that's fine by me. It leans more toward fuzz, in my opinion.
Don't suppose you can do a demo where you play it like a dark glass player would typically play and EQ as such, eh? That would be sweet. I rarely see anyone play these budget versions the way a modern metal bassist would play them.
I'd love to try it, but to me it does not sound like darkglass. Much less clank and presence, plus the distortion blend doesn't sound as natural and seamless, as in I can hear the layer of distorted signal on top pf the clean
I don´t know about the pedal but what is sure is that your Supra Bass sounds outstanding... really amazing! I think is the best bass sound you have in your arsenal and unfairly overlooked in the reviews. I want more Supra! ❤😂
I had/sold the original D* pedal a couple of years ago, it was awesome but it costed more than the bass that I usually use live; I just ordered this one, I'm sure it will get the job done 🤘
@@ileutur6863Lmao what's your basis for that statement? I've taken apart pedals from both companies, and the build quality is about the same. You fell into the trap.

Hello friend, I have a question for you. When you connect the Joyo Monomyth through the XLR output, the volume is much lower, compared to if you connect it through the 6.3 mm output jack??? Can you help me with that question please? Thank you so much.
You mean the Darkglass X Ultra. And - no, Joyo made the version of another model - Alpha Omega Ultra (actually without that Alpha-Omega distortion mix).
I just got one of these off Amazon, and when I plugged it up, there's a constant dial tone coming thru as soon as I engage the dirty channel. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe I just got a faulty one?
Not yet. I asked Thomann a while ago and they estimated August-September for the arrival of the latest Joyo releases, including the Monomyth and double thruster.
I really do not know about Joyo as a brand. In my dealings with them they are cheep in the entire definition. I bought the buffer tuner and the ultimate drive pedal at the same time. The Buffer Tuner had LEDs that did not work making it hard to use right out of the box and the drive pedal lasted a week before not working without a bad constant screech. Sent them both back. Got Boss Tuner have had no issues and Darkglass Microtube X7 and cant seem to kill it. I did decide because of the Joyo pedals dying so fast and DOA that I would get ones that were known to be well built and rugged. I don't know if in 2 years Joyo has increased their QA program or not. However their prices kinda say no to me.
You sound like a bot. "After I spent like $600 for 2 pedals, I..." Joyo user for nearly 10 years, and I've never had a complaint, not once. Vs your claimed 100% failure rate from 2 years ago. Sounds like a rehash of a 2003 anti-Behringer post on Harmony Central.
@@rocketpigrecords3719 Well you sound like a Jerk. Would almost rather be a bot then someone who responds to ancient posts to try to sound like a big guy. I am glad to hear that you have had good experiences with Joyo. I did not. With how bad it was I personally will not trust them. With your 10 years of how grate they are you trust them. Good for you. I spent $70 on the Boss Tuner used but did spend the $300 on the DarkGlass Microtubes X7 (After watching several reviews but Bass the World's video was the best and when I stuck around) However that still leaves you a JERK that builds himself up on trying to trash old comments. Sorry but I don't ignore replys just because it is old. A jerk needs to be called out. Are you a paid Shill? Or is it me being a Jerk pointing that out. But who knows. Maybe you are a paid person by JOYO or some marketing company working for them to mitigate damage. Have a wonderful day.
I don’t really think it sounds like it at all, and if you want a DG but don’t have that kinda cash, just order one from Sweetwater, or ZZounds, make the first payment then they send it to you and you make like 4 or 6 payments and your good to go! I’ve done it a couple times and I’m so glad I did!
Very good basssit but you do know that there many bassist who don't slap and would want a nice demo that does not involve a majority of slap ... just saying ...
excellent player
i love how it looks like hes afraid of what his left hand is doing
My brother makes that face when he plays too, lol. IDK what it is.
Double thumbing Steve Harris riffs?!? Holy smokes, that sounded amazing!
Came here to say that
I caught that too lol. Very impressive. For a triplet rif I was very impressed
ultimate flex aye!
I hated it😂
Cool idea, but he totally lost a rhythm
The bassists on this channel are crushing it. Awesome. Thanks guys

Gigor had me rolling with the “good kinda hell, I don’t know what I mean” 😂
The voice knob sounds like it somewhat mimics the mod knob on AO. Focused sound on the left, more open mids on the right.

Exactly!
You mean like chugging djent riffs?
Under $100 I would say this is a quality piece of kit! also all of the LEDs on the eq and the chrome knobs is a great touch!
Maybe I’m old school , but when anyone talks about the N.1 bass pedal brand I automatically think about TECH 21 (SansAmp) and NOT about DG, you know.

Joyo releasing this sounding this good for this price point just shows how much Darkglass are ripping off consumers
Joyos are extremely cheaply built, DG is actually worth the price

Maybe do a show and tell video
Pix or it didn't happen.
What you all want is a DemonFX alpha omicron pedal. This joyo is cool but it is %70 DG Demonfx is %90 DG for sure possibly higher
Absolutely right, friend. Together with the inexpensive Alpha Omicron Demon FX equalizer pedal, it sounds better than this pedal.
WHERE IS THAT THIRD NOTE IN THE DOUBLE THUMB GALLOP COMING FROM?!???? 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
This will be a top seller without a doubt
Needed some metal AF tracks these didnt do it justice tbh.
Sounds like 70% of the way there to me. It isn't as tight sounding as a DG pedal but for the bedroom player it is probably fine.
thats probably the only situation where anyone could tell the difference.
I hope they made a alpha omega budget version, i dont want to sell my organs for a pedal
That's actually A/O budget version dude ;)
@@Huerbass did you find a setting for the DG microtubes?

amazing bass player!
Wait, how is that guy playing the Trooper gallop with his right hand???
Double thumb technique.

@@Chinchu86 Yeah he's using another finger to pop after the thumb up stroke.
This will give my AOU a run for its money, hard to justify the price, except supporting Doug and his crew
Doug is no longer with Darkglass. Sold his company shares to Korg last year
It sounds like a double track of clean bass with high-passed white noise underneath, not as if the signal itself is actually distorted. Not good.

I’d be ordering right now if it had an effects loop. Besides that it sounds amazing. Effects loop for my limiter pedal.
I cant help but think its lacking in the high end for what i like in a bass distortion. The pedal may not be designed for that kind of sound idk 🤷♂️
I need them to make a copy of the X7 so that I can compress the low end and distort the high.
I’m sure it’s in the pipe man haha
waiting for mine to arrive😊
Does the cab sim work in bypass mode? Are the top row knobs for the distortion control only?
What is the "thru output" for?
I want that shirt!
Can this effect use in the front of amp??
Yes, it has an amp out
What's the white bass on the back?
does it really say ground left instead of lift?
ahahahah😂 how did you notice that? yes it absolutely does, I zoomed in on it in 4K and it’s clearly visible that it says “Ground Left” 🤣
well my main question is does it do parallel processing like dark glass??? where it has a compressor on lows and distortion on highs with no comp ????
You mean the Darkglass X Ultra. And - no, Joyo made the version of another model - Alpha Omega Ultra (actually without that Alpha-Omega distortion mix).
most dark glass pedals don’t do that either. it’s X7 that does that and their bass plugin from Neural DSP.
Love it ❤
Up the Irons!!!
About to sell my alpha omega photon and buy one of these haha
Muito bom, infelizmente no Brasil ele custa muito caro.

Yah it’s a dud. DeadBeats guy had the same problem on a live stream
It’s good though. Percivere
is that a heman sticker in the amplifier????
Could anybody who owns it let me know if it’s noisy or gets much of that static noise when using it???
It definitely adds a bit of noise. Especially if you pump the master volume.
But I would say that it’s nothing to worry about
thnx for the heads up! @@captainchunk4078
