I've had figure 8s, green spotted and even dwarf puffers, and they're great. Bumblebee gobies do well with them, and I also had mollies. Have some moss to float around and molly fry can hide from the puffs. Brackish is pretty fun to do, but some plants don't do too well in them, so it's something you have to play with what does and doesn't work. Makes me want to do brackish again!
That's awesome to hear! It sounds like you’ve had quite the experience with puffers and brackish setups. Bumblebee gobies and mollies are great tankmates for puffers, especially with the floating moss for the fry to hide. You're absolutely right-brackish tanks can be a bit tricky with plants, but experimenting with different types can definitely lead to some unique setups. I'm glad this video inspired you to think about brackish again-it's definitely a fun and rewarding challenge! Thanks for sharing your experiences! 😊🌿🐟
Thanks for the suggestion! Java ferns and Java moss are definitely great choices for brackish tanks. They’re hardy and can tolerate the lower salinity levels really well, plus they add a nice, natural look to the setup. I appreciate the tip-it’s always great to hear what works for others in the hobby! 😊🌿
