Welcome! In this video we will travel throughout one of the most interesting and overlooked small cities in America. I will taste and introduce some local delights like Coffee Milk, Clam Chowder (New England Style) among others.....
I will also venture to the so-called "Hood" in South Providence to experience the local vibe and try local street foods.
Local Providence based artists Seth Dore and Stephen Brunelli will make respective appearances.

Providence left a bad taste in my mouth. Experienced nothing but racism there. Was interviewing for the PhD biology program at Brown University, and the student and faculty were so hostile to me, the only black male applicant, it felt like for no reason. Even the cab driver attempted to drive off with my luggage, and seemed real hostile.
This was 2012.
Providence must be really segregated

There are also other sweet areas of Providence like Hope Street, Wayland Square, Olneyville, etc. Blackstone Boulevard is a great path to go walking, running or biking.

I’m still trying to figure out if olneyville is dangerous, I keep hearing it both ways. Thoughts on this? Moving to Prov next year.

Yeah definitely check out Federal Hill and the West End next time. Then go to Sims Ave during a flea market night. Not your average flea market. Live music, art, etc.
Sweet distillery called Industrious Spirit company over on that road. As well as revival brewery which has an awesome backyard and living room vibe
I've been to a lot of cities and decided to move to Providence. I love this place so much

I was missing my childhood and looked up some videos. Too many blog-type content slandering the state but here you are, traveling, taking in and enjoying the little things that made us US. The food, the art, the people, even to the man spitting in front of the Performing Arts Center (PPAC). This made me feel like I was at home and I have to thank you greatly for that. Great video!
Also, someone else mentioned heading to the Olneyvile New York System and ordering a wiener "All The Way". Let the know you're not local but you got word of that. I grew up in Boston and lived on the west coast for a decade, I never even think to go to Providence. Seems like everyone goes there from Massachusetts when they are in their 20's though.
PVD was a really good time! I didn’t have time to stay for the night but you could feel the vibe and see all of the young people out and about ✊🏾! I might hop Amtrak or drive back soon🔥
Boston has got it going on compared to this shit hole. I live here now I can't even mention how many regrets and I know that if you come here it's a waste of your time

When you mentioned coffee, I thought of the Dunkin Donuts center, and all the Dunkin Donuts everywhere you go and the lines to get it.

I’m from NYC but I’ve traveled to both New Hampshire and Rhode Island, I definitely like RI better.
So you walked a few streets in Downtown and 1 block in South Side. No West End or East Side. Broad street is way bigger than the 2 blocks you walked. Smh

A video of me walking and driving around Providence for hours (as I did) is not engaging and doesn't inspire people. Although some creators like ActionKid have the market for it, its not my style.
