Sounds great. I just got the M Performance Exhaust put on my 240i and I was kinda disappointed with how quiet it is. This downpipe makes it perfect. I'm alittle hesitant because of warranty. I bought my car from Nalley BMW too ;)
I'll tell you the same thing I told someone else that deals with Nalley, I had a CEL because of something and they "flagged" my car for mods when I took it in. I don't really like Nalley.
Was there a noticeable improvement in performance with the downpipe? I'm waiting on my m340i (with the MPE option) to get delivered but already have the AA catted DP waiting in the garage HAHA. Just curious what sort of improvements I can expect (other that the sound).
@@QooleysIt depends if you have engine problems and take it to the dealer with the aftermarket DP installed. They will 100% blame the DP whether it’s actually its fault or not. I’ve seen dealers void transmission and differential warrranty work because owners put aftermarket wheels and tires (the same size/spec as factory) on their cars. If you do put anything aftermarket on your car, be prepared to swap the factory part(s) on when you take it for regular service or any repair work.
The downpipe will absolutely help with the burbles. I will say that on my 2 series, the burbles felt great, but on the M340i, I could tell they were just "synthetic" since the tune was helping to generate them. No matter - if you like the sound, it will do it for you.
Unfortunately, I've had a CEL a few times. I contacted my shop and they let me know that since I'm doing a DME unlock and a tune, I won't have to worry about this anymore. Typically, the success rate of no CEL with this downpipe is like 90+%, but I've had a few. They always went away after a day or two. I finally read codes with a Carly and found I was getting a "180001 Catalyst: Efficiency Below Threshold" error.
When u modded your 340 did you upgrade to colder plugs ? If you did where did you gap them too ? Having a problem when I open throttle from zero I get drivetrain malfunction and I’m thinking bc I need colder plugs and gapped right
In general, the advice I've received is that they will only void your warranty status on parts that are related to the ones you replaced if you try to use the warranty, which is expected. That being said, my BMW dealership flagged my car for mods and made a huge deal about it. If I had to do it again, I might wait until I don't care about warranty. There was no CEL after I got the MHD tune, but before I would occasionally get a CEL related to the 02 sensor. I don't own this car anymore, but it was still worth it to do that work.
Do you have a catted DP? I’m looking at pairing the Dinan to my AA catted DP. The MPE is $500 more, only retains the 1 valve and no tips. Kinda tough to justify that.
@@20m340i Yep I run a 200 cell HFC. The HFC + Dinan Axleback setup is STUPID loud and so droney. I would trade this exhaust for an MPE any day if the drone is somewhat tolerable
The video def doesn't do it justice. Since putting on the downpipe and the exhaust, it pops all the time. If I run it in sport+ in manual mode, it will sound like gunshots sometimes. Completely different car that solved all the complaints I heard about all models after 2020.

Sounds incredible. I have the same year car and am looking into modding it like this. Does the downpipe create any drone when on the highway?

You have full mpe exhaust?
I have the same setup…dont you just love it?
Is yours a 2020? I have a 2020 with mpe but don’t know if adding downpipe would be too much
@@sallifrolix2021
@@sallifrolixnot if it’s a catted downpipe. It will make it deeper and louder. Catless makes it raspy
Can you hear turbo whistle from the cabin?
Yes. But I recently added a cold air intake which made a way bigger difference in turbo sound.
Great video, I'm going to get the same combo on my 2022 model. Have you noticed at what gear could make a gunshot sound?
Any gear can. I drive it in sport+ manual mode and whenever you let off the gas it’ll pop. It’s pretty nice.
How long until you figured out the go pro fell? lmaoo
Car sounds very throaty, love it. How is it in Eco Mode?
Luckily I noticed immediately. This is why I never do highway pulls with it. It sounds aggressive in all modes but not too bad in eco or comfort.
How much louder is it with a downpipe vs just the MPE? I have MPE on my 2023 and eventually wanted to get this setup!
Much louder, 50% or so, I have tried from stock to straight piped and everything in between, catless downpipe and MPE is the best combo.
Is it obnoxiously loud with this setup?
Does the aa DP increase the pops and bangs or just change how it sounds? This sounds so nice but the MPE is expensive af(dont even know how to get it)
The DP does all the work for increasing the pops and whatnot if I had to guess.

Definitely. I haven't had it on a dyno or anything but it definitely felt "snappier" after the downpipe.
does the dp void warranty?

What a beautiful deep throttle! I have MPE installed recently and looking to get more pops and crackles in my 21 M340! Do you recommend this setup?

They claim no cel light with their down pipe, it's been about 7 months since, any issues? still no cel light?

I didn’t change anything so far other than the downpipe and axle back.
Ok.thanks Yeah I did Same but also did a custom tune but didn’t upgrade to colder spark plugs. But I will be doing soon
Is it just AA DP with MPE? Or is it tuned? Any CEL?
It's just the catted downpipe with MPE, no tune. No CEL.
How bad was the drone?
Do you smell gas under low/hard acceleration or idle?
Not really.
you notice any increase in drone?
Drone is louder, no doubt about it. I'm just not bothered by it. If I stay in comfort mode it's totally tolerable.
Would this set up void any warranty? And I been trying forever to get my 21 M340i loud . Is your CEL on ?

Is this a full mpe exhaust or just axle back? I have just the axle back and want to get a catted downpipe but done want it to be too loud for my taste
the MPE is just axle back as far as i know
