I’m really happy with my Glock 45 as well. It feels really easy to draw/aim since the front end of the gun is super light due to the shorter barrel/slide. Glad to hear you like it as well!

Thanks for your review. The Glock 45 Gen 5 was my first 9mm purchase March 2020. I use it for home defense and a 43X MOS for concealed carry. The 45 eats all ammo, as opposed to my Canik that chokes on some ammo brands. I have the olight, but now looking at the rechargeable light in your review. I have several 9mm, but I keep coming back to (and trust) the Glock 45!
My Canik eats like a starving Nigerian kid at a buffet. And she came with metal sights. And a natural grip angle. And an amazing trigger that doesn't feel like I'm finger fucking a cold bowl of mash potatoes. And a polished feed ramp. And fully metal mec gar mags. As apposed to my Glock I payed over twice as much for. To each his own. 🤷
I'll agree with you that it's definitely the best glock I've ever owned although I will probably replace the connector but that's not a huge expense. I keep seeing videos saying that they come with night sights but not all of them do, the one I purchased didn't again not a problem because I have extra sets laying around from other projects. I have medium large hands and the medium grip attachment made it perfect for me.
@@davidchrist428 not speaking for the guy you asked the question to but I have 2 G45 and might get more is because the G19 is too small for my hands. And some people have one gun as their ccw gun and the other gun could be a range toy that you can use to test aftermarket parts before installing it on the main ccw gun. Some people also like to have multiples of the same gun because if they use a firearm for their job they want familiarity
Agreed it's a pretty awesome weapon . I modified a few things that IMO made it even better . I swapped out the Bold Amerigo's for the Agents I swapped out the gen 5 mag catch with the gen 4 oem extended one And I swapped out the OEM slide catch with the vickers catch because my Gorilla hands "ride the slide" the vickers catch in combo with the large duck tail eliminates MY personal issue with last round hold open . The G45 is definitely my favorite out of all the Glock 9mm
Best Glock to date. Only change i would make for me personally is I would make the rear grip angle match the front grip angle. Which would basically eliminate the hump.

I own a glock 45. 2 for 1 on this gun. My first glock and also my first new gun I've ever bought. Always bought private in the past. Since the middle of February. I have put 700 rounds thru it. It's been a really good gun to me.
My hands are large enough that my pinky is on the edge of the G19 so the G45 feels so much better to me as I've got enough room to have my whole hand on the grip
I’m not sure that I agree with your statement that it was ignored. The 19 X has been a hit and my understanding is that the sales volume of the 19 X surprised even Glock. They sold over 100,000 within the first year. It was very criticized because it didn’t have all the features of the original components of a pistol that was submitted for the military trials. On the civilian side, it was criticized because it was not the “Carey Garden“ that some people wanted it to be. The fact that it has a shorter slide with a longer grip made no sense to the concealed carry market even though it was never designed for that. They wanted it to be something which it was not designed to be. For me, the 19 X was my favorite Glock until the G45 came out. I have a video on the 19x if you care to check it out. Some call the G45 the “black 19x“, but in reality there are quite a few differences between them. Thank you very much for watching!
The G19X came out in January 2018, and the G45 came out in late September, early October 2018. In that ten months Glock sold over 100,000 G19X’s. Hardly ignored.😎✌️
Yep... also has flared mag well... front slide serrations, large mag release, and the front of the slide is domed so it stabs into holster much easier. All the extras at no extra expense. Glock knocked it out of the park.
The FN’s system is far superior to Glock’s option. Simply my opinion of course. I do have pistols which have been milled for a specific optic. The reason I was looking for the MOS system is because I have plans to test several different types of optics for the channel and the MOS system is the perfect platform to switch optics.
So far my experience has been very positive with these. Having said that, I’m not a “operator“ running around banging it against door frames and center blocks. Thank you very much for watching and for taking the time to comment.
I agree that Glock 45 gen 5 is designed to be the best 9mm pistol. I love this gun, it fires flawlessly and accurately. It’s very handy, light weight, great grip texture, nice sight, and crisp trigger & safety. I’ve noticed just today, after I rack the slide with empty mag, the slide locks open, of course. But I tried to press the mag release intentionally while the slide is locked open, just to test, the slide moves forward to battery after pressing the mag release. Usually, it should stay locked open even by pressing the mag release. I think this is how this pistol is designed for gen 5 technology. But I found no issues at all at the range so far, thanks God. Check this out and give me a reply, anybody with Glock 45. Thanks for the great review.
@@MDpolo Thanks for trying. My g45 locks open after the last round is fired anyway. It’s made in Ausrria.Just like my beretta apx 9mm full size, made in Italy, same situation as my g45. Anyway, they both lock open after last round and shoot well and fire flawlessly. But my g21 g4 stays locked open, mag release works only after releasing the empty mag. But thanks. I still love my g45 g5 so far.
@MDpolo no problem I have a 19x a 19mos and not a 17 so with 47 I can make a 19 long I get a 17 and a 45 so it makes sense to buy one gun but get multiple platforms out of that gun hopefully that's helpful.
It sure is a first! It almost feels awkward not to start looking for different triggers, sights etc... my brain feels like it cannot compute this. It’s Glock, I have to make it better! I own a glock 45 gen 5 and I just recently purchased the Harry's Singleton holster which I yet to receive. I'm also checking out the Olight mini weapon light.How does it fit in the holster with the light attached? What are your optic red dot sights recommendations for this kind of set up?
The Sigleton holster is one of my 3 go-to holsters. I really like it. However, it will not work with the light attached to the pistol unless you ordered it to accommodate a weapon mounted light. My go to red dots are the Holosun 407c and the Swampfox Sentinel. Thanks for watching!

Nah glock 19 is still the perfect glock. Small enough to carry but still enough capacity. Glock 45 is cool but I don't think 2 more rounds is worth the sacrifice of carriabibility for the regular everyday citizen.

I modified a few things that IMO made it even better .

I've rechecked the site and I am not seeing the option for when purchasing the holster to be used with a weapon mounted light.
If you want a weapon mounted light I would go with Phalanx Concealment.

Bought mine two weeks ago. I find the grip texture a bit too aggressive. I'm hoping I'll get used to it. My g19 gen 3 still feels best.

I will say this, I hate the old glocks finger groves. I'll admit a Gen 3 19 feels way better than a Gen 5 in my hand, but vice versa for G45 model.
Get a tti spring kit and a shoe for it get rid of oem shoe .

Ummm no. We found out the hard way at work this is the silliest glock. The 19 is the perfect glock. You cant use 19 mags in the 45....
What happened that you found out the hard way? Just that the Glock 19 mags don’t fit?
