Those options are crazy confusing. All options should be included with trim level. Now you have trim levels with add on options separately. Hyena dealers will eat you alive with all the markups too.
I don't mind the packages. it allows you to choose the features you actually want to pay for. And there are also Toyota dealerships out there that honor MSRP, you just have to call around and do some research, but they usually have a several-month-long wait time.

I was not aware that the XLE could have a convenience package that gets you the leather steering wheel - the XLE Premium is a little too far out of my budget, so this was super helpful, thank you!!!!

@@EM-tg4ft very exciting! I would take into consideration how long your specific vehicle will be in production for. I ordered the Limited Feb 7th and was told it would take 30-60 days to be finished and on the lot. I was updated about a week ago with an estimated month of completion of Aug. The push back is due to the the technology package. I chose not to be flexible so I am waiting for the specific trim I want.
@@comingofkym did you test drive the car? how tall are you? Because I'm about 5'2 and I've never driven a big car (suv) before I'm used to driving a sports car. I'm just not willing to spend 5-10K above the msrp that these dealership are choosing to do. Did you have to pay more for the car, like a higher MSRP?
@@EM-tg4ft my mom as a 2019 model and she is 5’1, and argues she’s 5’1 and a half 😂, she fits perfectly in hers. You can adjust the seat to crazy configurations. Im 5’8 and I drive a Honda Accord right now and the seat adjustment limits how high you can be which is very annoying. I didn’t pay above asking at the Fred Anderson Dealer ship. Two dealerships in Alaska, two in California, one in Louisiana, and one in Mississippi charged at least 5 grand over asking and I wasn’t having it so I tried one more place and that was the Fred Anderson dealership and it was perfect. My rav4 hybrid is the top trim, I’m paying $48,000 for it.
(The Rav4 is not much bigger than most sedans, just taller)

One little correction. The Windshield Wiper De-icer does not heat up the windshield wipers. It's a set of defroster grid wires in the black lower section of the windshield that keeps that area clear of building up snow and ice on the glass. The wires are hard to see except in direct sunlight.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the XLE trim does not come with the heated steering wheel. That would have to be the XLE premium trim that comes with it right?
@@Shadowvamp123 XLE non-premium with the CY Cold weather package gets you the heated steering wheel.
She’ll get better as time goes on.
I have the convenience package which is great in the winter. The whole steering wheel is not heated just area at 2 and 10 o’clock . Still worth the money.

This car is made for mostly grandmothers and women with children that’s why there’s a power lift tailgate 
The winter and convenience packages are a must.
I bought the ‘21 XLE Premium Hybrid in Lunar Rock. I wish that the interior lights would have lit up for my car. Oh, wells! I still love my RAV4!
Why’s no fog lights ,not so good looking?? But I still love the 8 speed automatic transmission,I’m glad they didn’t go cvt .

The updates the RAV4 really needs are an improved ride and NVH levels; hopefully that will be done at the mid-cycle refresh which should be next year if I'm not mistaken.
First RAV4 in this body style was 2019, next remodel will be 2024. I bought a ‘19 XLE, loved it, it was totaled by a hailstorm, picking up my new Lunar Rock ‘22 tomorrow.
@@jdsbees3257 I got a rav 4 xle 2022 but since inventory is scarce throughout the country they are hard to come by. I wanted an interesting color like luna rock or one of the blues..sadly I couldn't be choosy and just got the standard metallic gray. It still looks nice but I hate "normal" looking colors.
@@jaydel3 You’re lucky to have found a magnetic gray one, that’s an awesome color! That’s what I originally ordered, but I got a chance to claim the Lunar Rock, just before it left the factory in Canada. The only ones I could find in the area, without ordering one, were white, and pretty scarce. I ordered mine, took about two months from the time I ordered, until I picked it up. All the dealership websites had RAV4s, but “in transit”. The Big 3 pickups are the only vehicles outselling RAV4s, they’re hard to find.

I bought a 2021 new. I wasn’t aware these come with stop and start foolishness. Now I regret buying the damn SUV. Every time the suv comes to a stop, the engine turns off, then as I proceed to drive off, the engine turns back on with an aggressively annoying jerk. Drives me f***ing crazy.
To solve the problem I have to remind myself each time I enter the suv to turn off stop and start. It never stays off which sucks. So you have to keep reminding yourself to turn the stupid shit off.
Need to see new blue color on it

Just got my 22 rav4 limited. Comes with wireless charging and a kickstart trunk which I love the most out of all the features. And my Toyota dealership gave me a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission and oil change. So I will never touch oil and oil filter in my life
Who is your Toyota dealer? Here there are offering me a very high APR which is insane even with great credit score. Wondering if I could order my Rav out of state.
That car looks good like other Rav4 since 2019. I drove one of these this afternoon and I’m not impressed at all about the driving experience, I rather like to drive my old 2014 Accord for now. I think I’m maybe just not a VUS fan for now. It’s been the same with the CX5 and the XT5. Maybe I should try luxury car like Q5 or RDX or Lexus.

its just hood insulation, its not gonna take out fire.
WOW a fire blanket. Maybe there is a sensor in the blanket and the rear hatch automatically opens and a crew of firemen jump out of the hatch and pry the hood open and put out the fire. AND OF COURSE THE VEHICLE IS TOTALED. 😂

Is it possible to disable the seatbelt sensors chime in the rear seats. My aunt hates seatbelt wearing in the back so what to do? How to shut off the chime?🤪😕
The Canada Toyota Website only has 4 trims in the 2022 Rav4's. No Adventure, no Trail, no TDR. Only the Prime Hybrid and EXL as top level. I don't get it.
What about the sound insulation at normal speeds and high speeds, was it good?

Cabin noise has been my biggest complaint. It’s really apparent when you come to a stop and you realize how loud you’ve turned up the radio.

Do not buy in white, it will peel in couple years, 2019 we got lunar rock, and shortly we received letter from Toyota stating if is our purchase in white color they will cover paint issues only first 3/36 whatever comes first, We also own 2016 Sonata pearl white, that roof was repaint once and now hood is peeling, All makes and models have issues with white paint because is water base and something wrong with media between body and paint.
Really miss the 2GR-Fe V6 this had in the older generation.....

No
Yes and no. For remote start I saved a lot of money and bought a kit to install myself. Cost me $200.

Your out the door price depends on the exact specs of the vehicle you want, what state you live in, what dmv fees you will have, what taxes your state and county charges, and other factors. My guess is that is part of a tech package as my XSE does not even have it

No fog lights anymore why not ?
LED fog lights are standard on the '22 XLE Premium.
Fog lights are being phased out. It's old tech that does little with the improvement in headlight tech. Most new luxury brands have dropped fogs and now it's starting to happen on main stream brands as well.
The RAV4 is nice but it’s fallen behind the Sportage at this point. The tech differences are night and day.
I don't know man..Toyota drivetrains are unmatched..

depends on your needs i guess. I have fogs on my 21' XSE and have yet to use them
You have to go with the '22 XLE Premium to get LED foglamps.

I think a RAV4 XLE ends up around $30k. It can be more or it can be less depending on options you choose.

Does it have auto dimming rear mirror ?
I have a 2022 XLE, no auto dimming mirror, I have the weather and convenience options. Toyota removed the fog lamps and auto dimming in the base XLE. After market install or get the Premium. Check out the Toyota’s RAV4 brochure for comparison.

Please stop all the whining about the fog lights 🤦They aim low, are useless and offer a false sense of security. If a driver is going to crash into something they will crash into it with or without fog lights. If they were really that important governments would mandate them on all vehicles.
