My main tip for flights is to put your liquids and electronics in the most accessible and hussle free point of your bag so you can take it out extremely easily without having to empty half of your bag at security screening. For me it was a game changer and when you arrive at the gate or a more comfortable place you can stuff your liquids anywhere you want since they don't matter for boarding (usually I divide them between those I use on the flight and those I use only at the hotel)
Great call out about rearranging how you want it once you get through security. Def important to get the things you need to access on top for the flight too!
