Watching this while my sitting in the california desert after emergency landing when the fuel ran out because I couldn't get the fuel truck to come at any of the airports. Thank you, and I'll be on my way. The cub can take it.

I just ran out of fuel on the 4th leg of the California trip (over 30 minutes in) and didn't know how to refuel the plane, this was perfect, thanks! You think they would have at least had a tutorial or a pop up explaining this since everyone would run out of fuel at some point
Until I saw this video I thought this was supposed to be some crazy hard challenge, I even tried driving up the gas pumps at the small airports and tried the fuel request. The video was a great save!

If you taxi out to a parking space where the dude will signal you to stop, theres an option for Shift+F to request a truck but it just stops near you and doesnt refuel.. not sure if there are specific instructions for how to do it like that but this works also!
Yeah tried the same Fuel Request at Manzanar. First try the truck got stuck and dissapeared after 2min. Also tried stop at Air station, and Fuel citern on all 4 corners. Nothing. After restart there was no truck, no citern but a 2nd dude. Anyways, You advice helped @SirRandalGaming :)
You can choose an option on the controls menu that just adds fuel, a certain amount, without repairing and not necessarily toping the fuel, so I like this option a bit better.
This is clearly an issue for MSFS. I even landed at an airport in between dirt strips to find the fueling area and it won't refuel my plane. It would be nice if we can refuel in a more realistic way than with a magic button.
I try to do the same being stuck at the bloody hawthorne Nevada airport but i dont get an select input Option. I just get "clear current input , cancel , or validate.
Another way to do it, is map "request fuel" and "Add fuel quantity" "Request fuel" will make a fuel truck drive over, and then you can use "add fuel quantity" to fill up the tank ( it will fill quite fast, so be careful if you only want 50% full) ( This at least works on landing strips with a fuel pump when parked in parking spots, i have not testet on other air strips or other places) Hawthorne Industrial was my first fuel stop (Bush trip: Nevada - leg 7 Hawthorne Industrial) - Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlightSim/comments/ic4dnq/how_to_refuel_during_bush_trips/g27b3s4/

Im 57 an Its my first console and game,, i now know why some of the younger players are on these game's for 10hrs at a time, theres probably 8hrs of settings before they start, i think ill stay on the small plane's as i saw the start up of the big plane's wow that's to much
Dude, you can refuel your airplane at any given moment by using the drop menu at the top of the screen. Just open the weight and balance section and go to fuel and slide the fuel slider to wherever you want it.
I love how people think their way is the best way. In fact I like the key input method better. You can put this on your yoke or gamepad if you want. But I find hitting a key stroke is 1,000X faster then reaching up with the mouse moving over and clicking 3-4 Times. I feel this takes your attention away from the game just so you can refuel. Sorry your way may work for you but it's not the best way. Sometimes there are more ways to do one thing and the one of the solutions may not work for some.

Thanks for this input, I was scrolling down hoping someone would offer this solution, because I knew about it but couldn't remember the details. Also I don't always want to fill to 100%.
fly leg by leg. Every time you land at the Destination Airport once the plane is stopped it will save automatically. You can exit the game then and fly the next leg some other time
I had the fuel truck come to me but it just sat there not filling my plane. The problem with this is that you can refuel yourself in mid air like it’s cheating.

It sounds like it’s already been assigned to another input. You can try clearing it out and redoing it see if that helps.

Can you save your bush flights? I cant seem to save anything unless it is a flight selected from the free roam map
You can’t save them but when you complete one leg You can continue where you left off when you go back into that bush Fight

I had the fuel truck come to me but it just sat there not filling my plane. The problem with this is that you can refuel yourself in mid air like it’s cheating.
