- Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
With director Patty Jenkins back at the helm and Gal Gadot returning in the title role, “Wonder Woman 1984” is Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the DC Super Hero’s first outing, 2017’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Stephen Jones are producing the film. Rebecca Steel Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Marianne Jenkins, Geoff Johns, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo and Wesley Coller are the executive producers.
Patty Jenkins directed from a screenplay she wrote with Geoff Johns & David Callaham, story by Jenkins & Johns, based on characters from DC. Joining the director behind the scenes are several members of her “Wonder Woman” team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (“Amélie”), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (“Topsy-Turvy”). Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (“United 93”) is cutting the film. The music is by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (“Dunkirk,” “The Lion King”).

@@videogame3699 IKR!!! Remember that the movie was shot in 2018 and came out in 2020. So in 2 years, not a single person noticed that giant continuity error? If someone did, why didn’t they notify Patty Jenkins so they could’ve gone back and reshot the scene with the actress that played Teenage Diana in the first film to fix that error

The first 10 minutes was really a gift. So beautifully done. The child did an amazing work as young Diana. Love the way the Aunt stops her in the end and makes her realise there is no shortcut to hardwork and that's the truth. Truth is all there is.
And then the rest of the movie was an absolute shambolic disgrace lol

and she didn't take a short way, because she left a blue flag behind, even if she had launched that thing in the circle, she would not win because she miss a flag on the way. This movie got some dumb "ERROR 404" Hahaha. and your point it's really right, because her mother only let her training when she is already grow as a teenager, so this in ww84 is a big mistake too. if you search a video that relate all errors of ww84, this will be a movie lol hsjsh (sorry if my English is bad, I'm Brazilian)
The course and the horses and the color targets was obviously adjusted once the remaining competitors dove into the water.

Great opening life lesson that provides a strong foundation for the story. Brought me back to the cinema to watch it a couple of times... so far!
there are no shortcuts? Well, there really are. Progression is a lot of the time finding shortcuts that prove the previous method was overly long to begin with. So maybe don't take empty platitudes from a dumpster fire popcorn flick as life lessons there's a good chap.
@@kirrithkovacs5097 There is no shortcut to find real shortcuts. The first "shortcut" is actually a lie. The meaning of "shortcut" in the dialog of the movie is "not following the rule" when the rule is "fair" for everyone. So the movie tells us everyone should follow the rule of the competition.

@@onexcomputer the change starts in the competition. The rules then adapt. The point is rules change because they are pushed against. They aren't dreamt up in some perfect echo chamber and bestowed never to be breached. Read the problems with the law of war (reaction to force) and cyber war, same outcome but no force. The problem being the rule is wrong, allowing cyber war to happen with no avenue of retaliation or intervention, which is why the UN stood back and watch Russian annex the Crimea with cyber attacks.
This is the best part of the movie. Watch this and stop, so you won't have a bad memory of this movie

This scene tries to sent a message about never cheating and no hero is born from lies. The rest of the movie has nothing to do with that message. The rest of the film is all about the wishing stone. Also, DIANA DID NOT CHEAT. She fell off her horse and took a minor shortcut to catch up with it. That’s all that happened. That’s not cheating

Wonder Woman...a beautiful film that embodies free will and instils hope and perseverance in the soul. I loved it.

I loved how consistently the movie kept to this initial concept of truth which it had established here. So much of it reflects in Diana, her reaction after rush of finding Steve alive is to seek truth & reason of his existence. Really an engaging watch, wish the movie had released at a better time!

They are not ignoring it. She was trained to be a warrior many years after, but this was Olympics, athletic training (sports) were available for every amazon. This has nothing to do with fighting.

nah...it depends. Good lesson for those weak(lest they go depress from repeated failures), but bad lesson for those with potential. Lots of breakthroughs and feats were motivated by some form of inner ego, whether one admits it or not. Also, whats important is you understand and change from your mistakes, not just admitting for the sake of posturing or wanting to look "nice".

There are two villains in the movie. The one we expected to see, based on the trailer, is Cheetah. She only becomes Cheetah at the final 15 minutes of the movie, and Wonder Woman beats her in five minutes. The second villain is defeated after Wonder Woman gives him a "friendship speech". Also, nothing interesting happens in the first hour of the movie.

So what was Diana supposed to do just sit there and cry because she lost her horse? When you get bucked you get back in the saddle. She was very resourceful and had very quick thinking for a child. Those are skills you need in live especially as a warrior.

I certainly am and with Woody.EXE, I was so happy when I found him and then he started training me straight away and I told him “I’ve learned this from my 2009 Woody”. He was impressed when my 2009 Woody turned up and we were having so much fun all 3 of us. The best part was when Jessie noticed me and I went after her but lost!

2021 is way better and I’m getting braver as the months go by where as last year, I had many breakdowns over the war but Mummy had sorted all that out. I couldn’t tell her when my war emotions started in June 2017 and I felt I left it too long to reveal all of this but I told her in April last year and had support since.
Now it’s 2021, me and the War can have a fresh and start again

This scene of young Diana competing goes against what happened in the first movie. In the first movie Diana was not allowed to train and in WW84 Diana was ahead of all competitors and there is no way she could Do that without training
She is not like them, she is a "god killing machine" so maybe she's just so powerfull that even as a child she was better than those warrior ? But yeah, it's a little "tooo much"
