  • We recently recorded a mock green card interview for you. The video was made at our recent firm retreat.
    Our own Amany Hacking acted as the immigration officer and Jim & Adela served as the happily married couple.
    We conducted a fake Stokes interview, which is when USCIS interviews the couple separately.
    If you are getting ready for your own upcoming interview, be sure to check it out.

    Just watching this and having to know dates stresses me out because my husband doesn't remember dates well at all.

    • @teebee3309
      @teebee3309 2 года назад +6

      you dont have to know the dates, you just have to verify your marriage, and that you are who you say you are, its easy to distinguish forgetfulness from fraud and misreprentation, forgetfulness is not a sin and can actaully work in your favor, in proving your marriage is authentic as genuine couples have a million things on their mind

    Out of all the videos I have seen on RUclips. This is by far the most realistic one because it has all the elements of a i485 interview in one video. office with a edgy personality, the partitioner who seems unpaired but did the right things by having an attorney present and the attorney who didn’t come to the interview just to warm the chair. Will rounded presentation.

    • @teebee3309
      @teebee3309 2 года назад +8

      this is too intense, they ask you questions which are only relevant to your case, they vet you in many ways already before you attend interview, having an attorney present could be worst, because the average person doesnt hire an attorney, mostly people with misrepresentations and some form of violation do, and having one can give of the impression you are uncertain about something in your case, secondly it puts the officer more in a position to scrutinize your record as they will know their legally being monitored and therefore are more likely to operate at the highest capacity of their profession

    Comical but Seriously stressful. I went through this interview with my ex-husband 18 years ago and 2 children later. I suggest Going in prepared and honest is the best way to go. Remembering that their people just like you is what the lawyer told me. I am now married again after 5 years of divorce. My husband now is here illegally and I am petitioning for him. We have been married two years now and hopefully we will come through this interview with flying colors. It doesn’t help that he can’t remember certain things off the top of his head. Maybe I should stop pegging him on the head so much. LoL 😂 Just breath and be honest.

    We did my wife Green Card using Counselor Processing here in Thailand. She was the only one interviewed. About 30 minutes. All they really wanted was to see the original documents and get her passport. Passport will be returned in about 10 days and green card will be mailed when we arrive in the US. Did the whole process ourself.

  • @teebee3309
    @teebee3309 2 года назад +7

    she said "mails not enough" they will never tell you that, the burden of proofs on you, ive never heard of them making value judgments on anything you submit, they just give you the opportunity to prove your marriage, and then they make the decision at the end based on what you provided

    Thank you for this Mr. Hacking, but I'm so confused and actually kind of upset, that after spending literally hundreds of dollars getting copies of everything, (a lot in color to show authenticity) including colored prints of dozens and dozens of photos that added up to over $200, just the photos alone, and Fed Ex-ing docs from overseas, etc, etc - ALL that were included in the initial package we sent for the Adjust of Status application that was nearly 3-4 inches thick.
    But now for our interview, they're asking for all of that yet again?!
    You would think they'd have all of that at the ready on their desk all in front of them when we go in. So why must we go through the headache, huge time consumption and costly process of repeating this all over again? Thanks heaps for your kind consideration. :)
