Thanks for having us along with you for this! I hope they take their sweet time making season 2. It seems like such a tall task to try to match this masterpiece of a first season and as impatient as I am for more, I want them to do their best.
this series is such a blessing. the director really did justice for the source material, he really elevate the magical feels of the manga with the anime. did you notice other than maybe the first episode, all other episode always end in positive note, you just feels good waiting a week for the next episode knowing everything would be fine. the director's choice of framing each episode is just *chef kiss* and then the peak music with amazing detailed animation, you can feel the production team really love the series.
First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English. Also, please understand if this seems like a long post. What surprised me most was that Land hadn't left his house in the first place. Considering that Land is controlling what appears to be a clone from a distance, it seems highly unlikely that he will be killed. I'm especially glad that Denken passed. After all, his purpose was to visit the grave. I think it's probably Denken's wife's grave... And it was good to finally hear a little bit of Serie's true feelings. Serie said, "But I can clearly recall each one's personality and favorite spell." So we realized she wasn't a bad elf, she was just a clumsy elf. Throughout the story, Himmel behaved like a hero and said a lot of great things. Honestly, Himmel is just too cool. I don't know when it will happen, but I would like to see the scene where Himmel and the others defeat the Demon King. And then Himmel said this wonderful thing: "But I won't ghote those in need rigth in front of me." It is true that if every person in the world did something like this, the world would become spiritually richer, even if just a little. Anyway, the people who appear in this anime are all attractive people. I think this kind of thing is rare.
You know, this statement wasn’t all that weird, and even in the parts where it kind of was, I understood what you were trying to get across. Your written English is better than many peoples speaking English
One theory I saw and really liked is that Frieren is manipulating Serie and Fern with what she says to the two of them to make sure Fern passes. She challenges Serie to make sure she takes a good hard look at Fern, and by telling Fern that Serie will pass her no matter what she says she ensures that Fern will speak bluntly to Serie, which Serie respects.
He's also Ehre's grandfather. They're shown together as everyone prepares to go their separate ways, as the ED plays. Ehre mentioned that fighting Fern felt like fighting against her grandfather during the first test.
So far in the manga we DO see one of the hero party's adventures that Wirbel mentioned. As to the Demon King, we've only gotten ONE panel with him and he is far in the back, so we don't see him clearly. We have yet to see that encounter in the manga. We can but hope....
@@Svenreactions Well, perhaps this will not happen. The panel in the manga, that is assumed to show the dk was as it is said adapted to the anime, but by request of the author not used. So one could speculate in any direction why it was "omitted" to the anime, but certainly not having a visual for him makes the DK more mysterious for anime only audience.
Serie's position on her apprentices is kinda sad really, and sort of an opposite to Frieren's take. Serie has been choosing to have apprentices for a long time, while Frieren just recently learned the value of traveling with others thanks to Himmel and co, but she also learned how to understand and express those feelings in a way Serie still hasn't. Serie is a fundamentally lonely person, even with her apprentices and having the first class mages around her, for the same reason she considers even Flamme a failure. She desperately, if subconsciously, wants a companion she can see as an equal, but the few humans who can even begin to approach only do so near the end of their lives. She also has a very strict view of magic as a tool of battle and the supremacy of mages, and can't personally get along with someone who takes an opposite stance, like Flamme in her adult years. Her antipathy towards Frieren is that Frieren does have the lifespan and talent to become that equal, but has taken on Flamme's perspective of things, which is counter to her own.

8:49 what it means is that Frieren’s unsuppressed mana is equal to Series suppressed mana
yeaa that is freakin insane honeslthy
I love that Serie actually apologizes to Sense about scolding her for passing too many since so many of them passed her third test.
that old man is literally the strongest human mage besides elves
