Here's the thing with religion. It's what THEY believe in. No matter if it is good or bad- that's how it works for them. Asking them to change certain aspects of religion is like them changing aspects of LGBTQ.
I'm not saying that aren't trying to do this already. For some people the situation is different. But I feel if people can just accept that not everyone will agree with you or like you, things will go more smoothly. Neither side tries to change the other. And just agree to disagree.
