I’m so excited so see what you build! Your building method was a huge inspiration for me making my first suit (a tiger mini partial) and right now I’m working on my second, which is going to be a fox plantigrade fullsuit for my friend! I’ve almost finished sculpting the head in Blender, then I’m going to use Pepakura to print it off and turn it into a eva foam pattern ^^
Watching this made me think about going forward with a partial raccoon idea I’ve had for a while before the pandemic~ Nice to get inspiration bubbling again 😊
What I find most exciting about this project is the unique spin you add to the conventional way of fursuit making. That, and that it's not based on someone else's character like usual--but rather, your own, so it hits different. Could be why it's been hard to launch this project for so long. But that's just my two runes (cents.)
11:07 I was wondering about that!!! It always made me wonder if people realized the leg shouldn’t bend like that when the person in the suit is walking.
It’s so great to see you back, and not just sharing your progress on cool projects, but sharing real talk about work-life balance, and being a mom. You’re an inspiration, and I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself by reconnecting with the fun part of this hobby. OMG I look forward to seeing how your daughter picks up on all this creativity too hahah
Seems like a really challenging but interesting project! I'll certainly be following along, maybe one day I'll make my own complete fursuit and follow your tutorials again to get me going 😁❤️
I love your characters. The new versions will be great! thanks for sharing. (I LOVE big wings too!) If looking outside of the mouth, you always have to look UP for photos! Good luck!
Thanks Dia! I think you have it the opposite. Sure you need too look up and see if they are a photographer, but for the photo you have to look at their feet with mouth vision ;)
your work is so inspiring; i came across your (varaform) worgen build and other creations/content when trying to make my first fursuit head years ago, and made one of the kitsune masks with your pattern as well later on. i can't wait to see these suits! i personally love following your process at whatever pace you choose to share it. your sculpts in particular are so cool to see. i no longer follow or participate in WoW stuff for a lot of reasons but it was my first glimpse into the furry fandom and the reason i became a furry, and your work played a big role in that. thank you so much for what you do!
im SUPER excited to see these suits when done! especially with fursuit heads traditionally having vision through the eyes itll be interesting to see how these turn out! honestly fursuit vision is kind of an interesting topic all on its own cause it always felt like vision through the eyes was a sort of "defining feature" that separated fursuits from mascot costumes, but in recent years ive been seeing a LOT more fursuits with vision solely through the mouth and nose! really excited to see what this brings for the future of fursuits since a lot of those mouth vision suits have been weirder creatures (eels, fish, axolotl, etc)
That's an interesting topic, any I can see how you would feel like that's the difference. I've never thought about it like that. I just think looking directly out of the eyes limits the shapes you can achieve. And it is really cool to see some really creative suits out of the Fandom lately!
Really looking forward to seeing your progress on this project! I love how much character your sculpts have & how consistent it is with your drawing style
Thanks!! I have been working on the wing harness the past couple nights and it's giving me grief lols so I hope I can get everything working like I want
Hey I'm right there with you on burnout from the last 3-4 years. I went through some personal things that were awful, but progress is being made and I'm finally starting to look back at costuming again. I never got around to using the 1/4 scale head I bought from you but hopefully I'll be using it soon (if I can unbury my monster clay). I'm glad to see you trying new things and making stuff for yourself again. Funnily enough I've gotten into the furry crafting fandom in the last 3 years and the first thing I want to make are some Bowser slippers to wear around my house. You're such an inspiration Kaz and it's so good to see you making content again.
I'm glad you're starting to feel that itch again! I would love to see what you do ^>^ heck, boswer slippers sounds amazing! Thank YOU for the comment, it really made my day!
I'm very excited for this build! The plans you have thought of for yours and your husband's fursuit is so detailed and I hope you'll be able to achieve it. Keep up the amazing work and don't push yourself xo
Quite unfortunate that the head and body model casts are discontinued, please let me know if they come back, I would like to not have to trash sculpts sometimes.
as someone who followed you after the hogger high, i loved some of your videos, but i could feel your burn after and skiped most videos. Great to know you are better, this video has some great energy, love the way you explain how you do the characters. "the ilusion of movement" and all of that. To be fair i also don´t follow any other suiters, but anyway. I have a question, expecially for the first character you showed on Clay, wouldn´t it be an option for the tail still be fixed to the torso, but make the tail be a bit upwards, like alert state of the tail, with a sturdyer material? or will it be too heavy for the wearer?
Glad to have caught your attention again with this video! I'm def trying to stick with only making videos I'd want to watch myself. I understand what you're saying, but I think it would still look odd because the location of the base of the tail would be off. it needs to be lowered and look like it's coming out of the hips where the tail bone comes out. My idea is to still anchor the tail to the wearer's hips, but just make it longer and have it be inside the body for a bit. if that makes sense.
Yes...still....being a parent of teens and working full time really adds stress so why pile on more with my unrealistic deadlines, budget, etc... I just like to create. It's a hobby- not my business. I'm not even sure if I'd want it to BE my business. Just my two cents...
About the beginning part, entrepreneurs here are a known scam basically, all they do is talk shit. We make fun of them for a reason. Realistically seen cosplay building (especially furry) is also not something that is able to get popular on RUclips. Do it for the sake of fun or start a different theme channel to generate income.
It's true, and there's so many channels built on advice like that because it makes lots of money. It's true that cosplay/furry may not have super high potential earnings, but there are Cosplayer who have come really far with their channels! It all comes down to how you measure success, and by my measures I am really happy with my channel growth. Its a big factor in my hobby paying for itself and letting me get fancy tools to play with
@@KazplayVideos I mean yeah you definetly can succeed with it, but of course not something like 2mil subs. (Best Ive seen is about 200k) It's just not meant for normies which is where a lot of money comes from I guess. But it is still cool being able to generate some income with something you actually enjoy.
I'm so excited to be building again! are you working on anything right now?
