Tascam DR 10L Pro: REVIEW

I think the Tascams sounded pretty similar, but I found the sound on the Zoom F2 to be noticeably less rich. I may have been the different microphone and not the recorder, though.

Finally a video that does a comparison of the DR 10L Pro and the Zoom F2. I find that the zoom noise is quieter but the tascam is brighter. I would go for the tascam as the feature on the app is so much better. For the noise level it can easily be fix on post. I would rather have a brighter sound to do on post that a more muffled one. By the way you forgot to mention that the tascam comes with the free Izotope Rx which is huge, thank for doing the video, great work !

You are so right that is another major advantage! We also tried alot of these 2.4gh mics this year but the sound doesn’t compete with the tascam.

The only thing I am disappointed about is the 24bit does not now have the two tracks at different dB. Yes it has 32 bit float, but if you want to use it exactly like the old one, you can't.

well, I originally bought the F2, but when I realised I wanted bluetooth, I had to sell my F2 realising a loss, and buy a whole new recorder (F2BT). So just having to add a bluetooth dongle is not that bad after all...
