In my opinion your John Deere is the best lookin modern 2wd I have seen to date. Love that tractor. Stance wheel weights canopy everything is perfect in my opinion love watching that tractor in your videos! Thing is flat sharp!
I really, really appreciate that! I’ve tried to make it different from others out there. Thanks for watching
Awesome job Ben. God Bless
Thanks! You too!
Well Ben Lord as my witness I was thinking about you getting into a bees nest as I was watching this video, believe me we know about yellow jackets here in north Georgia as well, great job by the way, I pray that we all get some good rain we need it as well, I appreciate you brother
I hope so too! Thanks so much!
Great mowing video buddy 👍
@@willardnicholson8026 appreciate that!
Hi Ben, we have plenty of yellow jackets here in north Georgia, that's why I appreciate my enclosed cab tractors, but I don't think I see as many as when I was younger. Now it seems like red wasps are building a nest on everything that doesn't move regularly.
I’ve been seeing the red wasps more here, had a nest in the shop I sprayed the other day. Are those something new coming around? Thanks for watching
Keep up the good work Ben and yes we do need some rain
Thank you!
Hey Ben, we have yellow jackets here in Central North Carolina, and I don't like them either. I found some with my bush hog a couple years ago working at our church, I wasn't as lucky, I got stung. Have a good 4th.
I’ve had a fair share of getting stung, they swell me up bad. Thanks for watching!
Ben, good video with your John Deere. You mentioned yellow jackets. Yes they are a real problem when you’re out mowing like that and they get very aggressive when you run over their nests! We have them up here in Northwestern Pennsylvania too. If I come across a nest during the day when it’s hot out. I stay away from it until night when it’s cool and they’re all inside the nest staying warm. Mix you up a 5 gallon bucket of water and Sevin dust. Then pour that down the hole until it overflows. It will kill the whole nest including the queen. How are you liking the John Deere now that you’ve had it for a while? She sure seemed to handle the brush hog well.
I’ve never heard of that method for getting rid of the ground nest. That’s a good idea, safer than gas and a lighter 😂! Very happy with the Deere! Thanks for watching
I don't like yellow jackets either, nor does my wife. We were riding our tractor and ran over a yellow jackets nest and we both got stung, her worse than me. Anytime we see a nest in the ground, I eliminate the nest, asap! We always love to see our fields after we clean them with the bush hog, like what you did. Thanks, have a nice day and a safe and Happy 4th of July!
Appreciate you watching!
Morning Ben! I too hate the little devils. I was doing bushhogging in the dog days of August / September a few years back here in North Georgia. It is one thing to make a pass over the nest and keep going and then on the next pass see them flying and mad and then avoid getting close, but I was cutting and backing up on a slope on an open station - gear drive tractor in low gear. Went forward and then backed up. I had opened up the 'hotel' and out from under the bush hog they came. I was trying to back up off the slope, change gears, accelerate, and swat with my hat and steer with my other hand and try to unbuckle the set belt also so that I could escape. By the time I could get off the tractor I had been stung 11 times. Not allergic to them, but they do cause minor welts at the sting site and itch. I could not do outside work for four days because the heat and sweat of the summer would aggravate the sting sites. While I had the downtime I decided that it was time for a cab tractor so a month later I was at my local Kubota and upgraded to an M4. Love this tractor and don't regret the cost. Now when I hit a nest, I just smile at them when they hit the glass and can't get to me .... all while drinking my water with the A/C and radio on! Love your videos Ben. Have a great day and God's blessings on you!
They make me swell up pretty bad. I must be allergic to them. Thanks for watching
sounds like you were in quite a predicament. I have been in similar situations, and it is not fun.
Ken I'm with you on the yellowjackets. My dad taught me after I raked over a nest of them when I was 17 and got stung more times than I could count that they go after vibration and movement. He told me to sit as still as I could and whatever I did DO NOT swat at them. Last year I was bush hogging a field that hadn't been mowed in a few years and all of a sudden I found myself surrounded by a swarm of hundreds of yellowjackets. I pulled my shirt collar closed with my gloved hand and sat perfectly still and didn't even breath. I kept the tractor moving and let me tell you those things were hitting the muffler and tractor hood but I escaped without nary a sting. 47 years later turns out my dad must have been right.
I’m sure they focus in on movement. But it’s hard to set still too! Thanks for watching
@@khtractors Oh I agree with you 100%. I never said it was easy because it sure ain't. Got into a nest of red waspers today and I was sure they were going to light me up, but I sat tight and they sure lit into my tractor.
Yes sir,we are blessed with yellow jackets, wasps, bees and hornets here in north Alabama. The hotter it gets the angrier they become. I went through 2 cans of spray today killing wasp in the barn, sheds and under the eaves of the house. I remembered you bush hogging that place in another video a good while back. It looked good then and now after you mowed it 👍
I had to kill some out in my shop the other day and a big yellow jackets nest in the furnace room. Thanks for watching
Yellow jackets are no joke, a feller usually gets one pass over them, but not two without getting eat up. Had some built a nest in a barn we had once. It was in one of our horse stalls, put the horse in there to feed him, and he paws while he eats, and the nest was under his feed bucket mounted on the wall. Needless to say he stirred them up good and got nailed, big mess.
Oh man I bet that was a mess! Thanks for watching
@@khtractors he tore a metal framed stall door, with solid wood panels off the wall getting out of the stall. Big mess, thankfully, the stings were the worst of it. I never would’ve thought about them building in there.
Truck looks sharp
Thank you!
We have yellow jackets here in Southern Illinois. Thankfully I have a nice cab tractor so when I have stirred up a nest it hasn't been a problem for me. Boy do they get angry.
Yeah a cab eliminates that issue as long as the windows are shut. Thanks for watching
Yellowjackets will make you want a cab tractor everytime. Hope ya'll have a good 4th, and maybe we can all get some rain. See you next time.
Yes they do! Thanks for watching
Same. We need some rain here. It went from flooding rain eveyday to the end of April and overnight into june first blazing heat since.
Been on vacation but we got rain at home Sunday and looks like storm chances the next few days. Hopefully we get enough to help. Thanks for watching
@@khtractors yes sir
You were giving our bx's heck saying those yanmar john deere is the best mower ever made at camp Jacob
I do like the Yanmar built Deeres. The BX is good but not that good. Thanks!
I have gotten into yellow jackets on a tractor a couple of times in my life and you're right, they are no fun. My next tractor will have a cab.
Yeah that’s a an advantage to a cab tractor. My luck I’d have a window open and get stung anyways. Thanks for watching
Good video
Thanks for the visit!
Another nice looking job done with ease!
Thank you!!
Possibility for rain tomorrow
I hope! We need it.
I got into some bumblebees once. Fortunately, I saw them hovering the ground when I came back around.
Always good to avoid the stings! Thanks for watching
You were on the right side of the truck when you said and now the left side has left hand threads
@@raywhite1442 drivers side is the left side.
I know what you mean by yellow jackets. I hate them little buggers too. To be so little they surely have a bit
They swell me up bad, it last for a few days. I don’t like them at all. Thanks!
@@khtractors me either. I got in a nest last year in the back yard mowing. Plus my beagle got stung as well. And you're welcome
You have Clayton and Landon what's the third ones name
The other is Hayden, he’s the oldest.
You also might mention that yaller jackets ain't like honey bees honey bees only get one sting and the stinger comes out and yaller jackets can keep on stinging
Yes, you must like them as much as I do Ray 😂!
Here in Alabama we have plenty of yellow jackets they are born with a bad attitude. Ready to sting anything that comes around.
Thanks for watching!
Hi
It seems like every time i hook up my bush hog i get into yellow jackets! i hate them and wasps also. makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
They seem to be really bad this year here. Much worse than the last two years. Thanks for watching
What size cutter you running? It looks like it does a good job.
It’s a 6’. Thanks for watching
YELLOW JACKETS SUCK!! I've run over a few nest thru the years !
Yes they do! Thanks for watching
I've been eat alive by yaller jackets no fun at all
No it’s not! Thanks

Ok! 👍
@@khtractors tomorrow is Thursday and the fireworks is 4th ok are you going to watch the fireworks or not
@@codymccauly349 they are doing ours on Saturday.
@@khtractors I'm going to watch on Saturday or not
@@codymccauly349 I’ll be in our parade with the fire department and probably help with fireworks for the town. We were with the people setting them off last year.
No offense but I always hated ride on videos. Damit, I clicked on the video to look a t the tractor and a ride on doesn't let you. So, I did not watch all of it. Sorry Ben.
Well when you try to video yourself it’s nearly impossible to do with a tripod. I can’t have someone following me around doing my filming like other big channels do. Half this video was filmed from a tripod off the tractor though. It’s either do the job and film the best I can, don’t film at all or spend all day trying to set up cameras on a 45 min job.
If you had watched to the end you would have seen more of the tractor. Each to their own, but some like the ride on to get the different feel of the job being done.
Hello Ben, The Deere seems to he serving you well, I hit yellow jackets most time i bushhog, nasty for sure👍🏼🪵🇺🇸
Really happy with the Deere! It’s been great. Thanks for watching
