What an absolutely flawless performance. When you think how she went through the showbiz mill of drugs and drink in LA and emerged still sounding this great. What a woman. What a survivor. The best. ❤ A tragedy we lost her so young.
I think the real truth about Dusty's life exists only in Dusty's words! This is one of the reasons I will always very much appreciate Dusty's interviews! I'm grateful, Darren, for finding and sharing so many of these with us! 🌹💖💖💖
she's the most respectful person I've ever heard, yet still so funny and with a great sense of humor!! She looks so gorgeous in this interview btw. Even the veil looked stunning on her! Thanks for uploading all this material, can't be grateful enough!!
I was disappointed when she said she was going to sing one of her "new" songs as opposed to one of her big hits. But I was wrong. What a voice and what a great song.
The smaller cities lost out . Her concerts in London at the Royal Albert and Drury Lane were historic. There is a CD available of Royal Albert concert I bought on Amazon...Just wonderful. Highly recommend it. Right Darren?
I agree. As I remember there were several bad recessions at least in America around that time. When working people are unemployed or worried about finances,it might have been difficult to justify entertainment expenses. When you think of all the lady singers of the day, there was alot of competition for the entertainment dollar or pound. Otherwise, had to be as you stated, poor promotion.

So sad the tickets didn’t sell but this was way before social media. She’ll always be the best British singer of my era, that’s a fact.
She was such a special woman. Miss her greatly.

The choice of song MIGHT have been out of her hands.
love this song, Dusty was another artist who as i would say was real soul!!!
What s a voice.
I can't believe that she wouldn't sell tickets. She is one of the greatest singers of all time.
I was there at Drury Lane on the last night. She was Great. The audiance was great it was a huge success. She could have done a week. And sold out.

How shocking is this? She couldn't sell tickets outside London?? What the hell was wrong with people?
Dusty's singing is fabulous on this show. How come she couldn't sell tickets? I can only guess from incredibly poor promotion.
