Twisted Colossus - K’nex Roller Coaster

- This is my recreation of Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Some of the elements have been modified for space or momentum shortages, so it’s not exact.
-I used WD-40 to lubricate the wheels.
-The trains and track come from multiple
Screamin’ Serpent sets
-Construction took around 2 months.
-Filming took 4 days.
-The lifts are powered by two Black&Decker screwdrivers, and the drop system is controlled by a lego EV3 program.
-I record my videos using a standard Pickup Truck rear view camera.
-Blacklight Flashlight in the dark makes the glow in the dark bits vivid
-I will answer any relevant questions in the comments!
Edited with iMovie, Stop Motion Studio, and Kapwing. Yup, just those.

Knex needs to start making large k'nex coasters again, rather than those flimsy tiny coasters.

This looks truly amazing! Even riding the coaster back in July was so much fun. I feel that K'nex should really bring these coasters back. Been hearing lots of bad reviews on their current tiny coasters like quality control and such. Overall, Amazing work!

That's amazing! The trains duel perfectly and carry their speed perfectly throughout the course, so cool!
Damn, now I wish twisted colossus had those extra helixes and that final barrel roll à la Untamed. I don't think it was possible with the existing footers though.

Heh thanks! it was all done in only imovie, stop motion studio, and kapwing! All are free on iphone (although kapwing is a website and it’s horrendous on mobile, i used my computer go it)
I kinda dedicated this last weekend to finishing this video, since school’s gonna start soon and this will be my last coaster for a while. I’m amazed by how fast YOU build!!

man, this is just unbelievable: the coaster, the filming, the editing and even the music is cool!
I’m loving it! The little details you put in with every aspect of the ride, such as the people in the station and the high five, make this simple build so satisfying to see! Keep this up man!
Also, do you plan on building a custom Knex coaster sometime? I think with your skill and creativity it would be interesting to see.
I would do a custom k’nex coaster next… if Twisted Colossus wasn’t my last one.
But this is going to be my last K’nex coaster for quite a long time. I’m
moving in to a new place with less space now, and I have a class every period in school this year, plus marching band and choir so i’m gonna be pretty busy. So I’ll still be commenting and checking out other k’nex channels, but I won’t be building for some time.
But, I really appreciate the positivity! Thank you for sticking with me ever since I was at like 30 subs!

Did you have to take apart the carts to oil the wheels with WD-40?
Nope! All i did was spray some on all the wheels and give them a good shake!
@@DryEyeBuilds do you think I could put silicon oil on the axles as well as the WD-40 on the wheels? I saw someone else on RUclips take apart the carts and get great results putting silicon oil on just the metal axles. Wondering if the combo could be even better. Any thoughts?
If you plan on using silicone oil on the axles, I don’t think the WD-40 will be necessary as well. But it’s worth a try if you want! It won’t harm the car or anything
