Watching Zatoichi never gets boring!
I started watching from the first episode, season one and am here now!
It's interesting how Zato in my language means "Because" and Ichi means "Go, to walk"...
And he actually is going because {many reasons} across the country. What a coincident...
This by far is a very powerful episode i immensely enjoyed it

This aint the first time theyve played together in the Zatoichi series, in the films they played together 2 times, Zatoichi 2 & Zatoichi Chest of Gold

i’m not sure i understood the ending. why did they go in separate way afterwards? was it because Zatoichi had to kill the officer?
It might first they had to separate because they were fugitive after kill the officer. Second, the director want to escort the audience there will be another epic journey of heroes in another movie. Or they just separated because the need to re united in future episodes.
