    The bigger picture for me is that Ms. Brooks actually knows how to teach. Finding a way for students to engage in learn by being active and having fun is by far better than a white board. I wish schools can adjust to student learning capability. Since I struggle by watching and listen. I’m a hands on learner and I learn more getting involved. Overall, if my professor was Ms. Brooks, I’ll definitely pass her class with her teaching style.

I respond more clearly to an explanation or seeing an example in every class but math. However, I have a hard time focusing when my teacher is just droning on and on! I respond better to fun learning! My teacher doesn’t understand that if I look at the ground while she’s picking who to read means I don’t want to! That's how education should be, we students need pleasure. Though education is important that's for sure, we also need a bit of fun and enthusiasm in our lives. And if we have all of that in the system, then school will no doubt be less dull and boring. Moreover, I love your videos Dhar Mann!

    Mathematics is unfortunately a difficult subject for many. I've always found maths difficult through school, sometimes people carnt learn from books which is just how I see it and could be wrong, and some teachers may not have the time to tailor their way of education to all their students which I can understand, but some people need extra help with their education and sometimes that takes both the effort of the student and the teacher.

He even played a few games that didn't have to do with school subjects; like a game called mafia where we would have to put our heads down and try to guess who the mafia members are by deductive reasoning and a little bit of process of eleimination. Why can’t teachers teach like that? The way Ms. Brook was teaching was awesome. Students were more engaged and the more engaged you are, you’ll learn a lot better. A lot of people don’t learn simply by just listening to the teacher. The way teachers usually do it (stand in front of the class and talk) students go nap time, because their bored.

    This is litterly the only way I can learn. When I was in 6th grade we were working on fractions and percentages, and my math teacher took us to the gym and we had to shoot free throws and find out the percentage and fraction of how many shots we made. It made it so much easier to learn because I could actually use it and see how it works in real life instead of just being explained on the board. So to all the teachers, coming from a student it is much easier to learn with physical activities or games in my opinion.

    I really like how this movie has a deeper meaning that what is shown. If you don't know already, the current education system was made during the Industrial Revolution where everyone would work in factories and be told to listen and never speak. Today, society has improved. The real world isn't about being quiet, but instead to be creative. This is what our school system lacks and needs. Great one, Dhar Mann!

    • @potatoboy549
      @potatoboy549 3 года назад +4

      Also because, these days kids are more creative. All information up to 9th grade is available right at their fingertips so, why bother.
      If children were more active while learning, and treated it as a team sport than “Fight to have the highest grade in the class”, our society would improve. Of course, if modern school system even dared to try this, they’d view it as a privilege instead of a necessity.

Secondly, imagine learning quadratic functions and trigonometry using beach balls and hopscotch as well. Heck, even fractions and decimals couldn't be taught with these games.
