- Samora Machel was killed in an aeroplane crash on 20th October 1986. The circumstances surrounding the crash led many to believe South African Security Agencies might have been responsible.
Never seen so many people cry over the death of a leader they are not related to. I wonder how many leaders would evoke this kind of emotion in their followers these days. This video really challenged me to lead my Soldiers better. I am Nigerian, and I am ashamed to say that I knew nothing about him until a few days ago when I stumbled on a video of him singing "Kanimambo Frelimo" with all his energy. He had such a fine baritone voice!
I was just 11 months when president samora dies and today l'm 32 yrs old but l cry as l'm watching this video. Yo spirit will live forever papa samora.

Samora Machel was respected for the role he played for the struggle movements in Africa.
As a Zimbabwean l salute you samora , l was a child by that time but l have had a lot you did to liberate our country l will forever grateful.

I was in Lusaka in 1986 then as SWAPO member in exile, while studying at UNIN in Lusaka, Zambia. Our UNIN Director then was Comrade Late Dr Hage G Geingob, our Namibian Third President.
Mozambique was beautiful until the civil war...we lost a true n loved leader.

It was a sad day for Zambians especially that Cde Machel was in Zambia for a summit. Hours later on his back home we heard about his death. Rip cde.

This year if the first President of our Country, Mozambique Samora Moises Machel had been alived in the rough, should completing more 33 years on tomorrow 29 September 2019. Whole of us we were not born when Samora Machel was born and when was died and me too I was not born when Samora died, but whole of us we learnt about Samora, we learnt at school, in the books, on the enternet as an independece study I might believe, I hope all us understood that he was a Highest figure on our country and through our country for the world, organised and productively. In the time being, what we had to do is to still carry on with what Samora always needed to be chased for the better life of our neighbour, friends, collegues, public resources, public goods to got it useful.....Samora is for whole generations , love you.
