  • Recently I got this bulb from Amazon, which can be controlled from Cloud. As i prefer to make evrything local, connected to OpenHAB so that it can be fast and internet independant as well, I wanted to reflash it. Luckily i came across tuya-convert which is really awesome. No hardware hacks, get a Raspberry Pi and you are done. So enjoy the video !!

    Guys, you can buy your products from Amazon by using the following link. Each product you buy we will get some tip out of it. And for this you don't need to pay anything extra and offers will remain same. This will help us to make videos like this and maintain the channel.
    Thanks

    Hi. I was wondering if the configuration from the Tasmota Blakadder Repository for Wipro Cool/Warm dimmable worked for you without issues. I just set up the same bulb with TuyaConvert today and had to do a lot of mix and match testing to get the brightness and white temperature to work correctly.

      I had some issues with the non-RGB bulb, but the RGB one worked flawlessly....

      @@WGLabz try this config if you have easy access to the White bulb.
      {"NAME":"WiproSmartBulb","GPIO":[0,0,0,0,0,37,0,0,0,47,0,0,0],"FLAG":0,"BASE":48}
      And do let me know if it works so I can have them update the deviced repository with the correct template.

    hi, how are you connected to raspberry pi? via ssh or via usb?
    because it warns that ssh connection will be cut when in AP mode. I have rpi zero ,how do I connect via usb?

      Hey @Swaroop B Deshpande I am not sure, this will be helpful for you now or not. I had a full sized Raspberry Pi, so I connected using Ethernet. And suggest you same. Otherwise you can use a USB to Ethernet converter to do so with a Pi Zero.

    Good to see openhab being used on Indian devices.
    - Can you post the exact model number of the wipro bulb?
    - Are you aware of any switches which can be flashed to Tasmota sold on Amazon India?

      I have tested with the following bulbs,

      I have not tried any switches though.

      @@WGLabz Thanks, I will check those out. The Phlipton 16A switch seems to use Tuya and apparently has an Esp32 inside. I am acquiring one, and will try tuya-convert on it.

      I would suggest to use Sonoff then, those are cheaper and I have used many of them with custom firmware !

      @@WGLabz I agree that is not the product i was talking about. It looks like a Sonoff knockoff.
