2004 Prius Fog Light Replacement with LED

This video shows how to replace the Toyota Prius fog light bulbs with LED bulbs. While this video shows a 2004 Prius, the bulb is the same and the procedure is similar for the following models that have factory fog lights. Bulb replacement guides are sometimes wrong and some bulbs may vary based on options, so check your specific vehicle bulb before purchasing bulbs or attempting replacements.

When using headlight LED bulbs, we prefer bulbs that do not have fans. This is because fans make noise, have moving parts (moving parts fail), and the fan motors generate electrical noise (interference). The AM radio is already terrible in the Prius, so additional electrical noise just makes things worse. We also prefer bulbs that do not have external control modules because they take up space and have to be tied down.
This is the bulb we used in the video. It's not bright enough to be a headlight bulb, but it worked well for providing more visibility from the front of the vehicle.

This is the Beamtech Series 1 headlight bulb that we showed in the video. This is brighter than the bulb we installed. It has a pigtail cable so you may want to use the V4 series bulb instead.

This is the Beamtech V4 series bulb. This is a little brighter than the Beamtech Series 1 bulb and it's more convenient because it doesn't have a pigtail cable. If you want to use a headlight bulb, this is our favorite choice.

I got a pair of cheap fog like housing on amazon and replaced the original because of that damn shield. Now my fog lights are super bright without that light shield inside. Just make sure to point the LED bulbs down so you dont bling people👍🏼

Inaccurate - says Passenger side is Clockwise to remove, Counter-Clockwise to install. This should be Wrong.
Driver's Side is Counter-Clockwise to Remove & Clockwise to Install. This should be Correct for both sides.
