THIS IS THE ONLY TIME IVE EVER HEARD SOMEONE TALK ABT THE SONG BEING DIFFERENT OMFG THANK YOU
What do you mean? In the show she dances to that song. Im confused.
@@mariana1994 in the show she danced to a different song than everyone is doing the dance to on tiktok.
@@mariana1994 i honestly don't know what it's called but isn't the same song 😅
@@cassiejo1426 ooooooh. Got it. Thanks.
@@cassiejo1426 do you mean Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga
Jenna choreographed the dance scene, learned cello AND fencing. She is the GOAT!
🐐
Heard she also learned German for the role
Fr
She did? WOW! That’s incredible!
Yeah because she is a hard worker + kind
the personality that Wednesday is known for owes so much to the 90s/Christina Ricci version. If you look at her previous versions, she was really one dimensional.
Jenna really nailed the Kubrick stare. Also, I hope Lurch plays a bigger role in season 2. He only played the role as a driver.
1964 Morticia is such a smokeshow 😍
Fun fact - Ted Cassidy who plays Lurch in original Addams Family is also was The Thing and when Lurch had a scene together with Thing a crew member Jack Voglin played as Thing. Cassidy would prank sometimes and use his other hand to see if anyone noticed!
How did they not mention that the quintessential Wednesday, Christina Freaking Ricci, is in the show and Jenna Ortega was super excited to bounce her ideas for her character off her. Its such love...and Jenna is Perfection in the part.
Lurch wasn't intended to be a speaking character, but Ted Cassidy improved "you rang?" answering the door, and with his deep voice they knew it was gold.
I honestly didn’t know how far back the Addams family went but I loved this and their reactions were everything ❤😅
They clearly didn't watch The Addams family (1991) and Addams family values before filming this, these movies are so iconic tho, idk why they haven't seen them.
Because that was well before they were born? I even watched the TV series way back in the day - but i don't see why the previous ones are relevant?
They all should of watch the movies tho. Just because the movies came out before they were born does not mean they had no way of watching them. Literally both of the movies are on netflix. I wasn't around when both of the movies came out and I seen both movies since I was little girl.
@@jasminemcphail3614
I would assume you meant "should have watched"?
Again, because this seems to be a common theme amongst those commenting - why SHOULD they have?
Just because you, and others (including myself), have seen the series and movies, it by no means means they are a "must see", especially when there is a lot more content available to them - and I expect they also have numerous other interests they prefer to enjoy rather than watching old stuff which was very much "of its time"
Heck, I also loved The Munsters, of which you SHOULD heve watched both the series and movies, too - see how that works?
@@gordowg1wg145 I get what you are saying, but I still think the movies are the reason why we got the new series wednesday. Without the movies and christina's ricci portrayal of the character the show would not exist literally-see how that goes. I don't mind the young gen z watching the series and enjoying it, but if they want to understand wednesday, her family, and how her mind works they are gonna have to watch the movies to figure it out or the 1964 series.
@@jasminemcphail3614
I don't disagree - it's one of the few times the industry's lack of vision and apparent reliance on recycling old material has paid off in spades 👍😎😊
I would partially agree in the previous material colouring this iteration of 'Wednesday' - Miss Ricci's 'thanksgiving' speach is iconic and is clearly an influence, but the TV series Wednesday, rather less so.
That said, Miss Ortega brings so much to the role, herself, and IMO has made it hers for the current generation.
Here after i met Rowan (Calum Ross) and Mayor Walker (Tommy Earl Jenkins) at Comic con in London. 😁
They were very nice people btw 😁
My mom went to college with Lurch. She said he was such a nice guy. He lived about 45 minutes from my home town, in Philippi, WV, the town that now as the Lurch festival now.
addams family values is one of my all time favorite 🙂
I am so glad that you guys are reacting to all of the adaptations of the Adams Family. This Family will forever be a classic
I’m surprised y’all didn’t acknowledge the 2019 animated one movie was dope 🔥💯
I'm obsessed with Wednesday I FREAKING LOVE HER DANCE & JENNA NAILED WEDNESDAY
Fun Fact: On the Original Addams Family Uncle Fester is in Morticia's side of the Family the Frump and also Morticia had an Older Sister named Ophelia who supposed to be Married to Gomez but he confess to Ophelia that he doesen't love her and Ophelia accepts it and got hitch with Cousin Itt and When Morticia was young her dress is Wednesday's dress
The Wednesday( Jenna Ortega)dance was pure gold, mesmerizing.
Grew up with the 1990s films. There's also a web series by Samara Morgan, where she plays an adult Wednesday. It was great, but cancelled due to issues of copyright. It's still available to be watched.
They forgot to show The Adams Family appearing in the Scooby-Doo Movie Show
"why is she so positive"
that....is one of the the worst insults you could ever say to Wednsday Addams
My local high school performed The Addams Family musical two years ago! It was so fun watching!
I love Jair. I love her energy always. I love the way she interacts with the people she films with. I just want to hug her
I hate Jair so much.
I've hated her since "Do they know pop punk part 4
"That's Weezer? I love Weezer that's the one i should've got."
Oh please just stop pretending.. You are completely clueless.
And now, "Thursday"? Really? How hard is it to remember names from a franchise you supposedly like? How many guesses did it take hwr to remember Pugsley?
One of the best sitcoms and movie franchises ever! I grew up wishing I could be an Addams.
Its funny how she says the theater show is messed up but loves the bloody scene in Wednesday hahaha
The new Wednesday was so good and I absolutely loved jenna ortega as wednesday! She was also great in X but def a different kind of movie lmao
I’ve been obsessed with Wednesday since it came out!! Jenna killed the role!! I was so excited to see her in the show since I’ve loved everything else she’s been in
No shade but she's average compared to the Christina Ricci
Welcome back, Emma. 😊 Love to see you smile & laugh.
That guy who likes sped up versions of songs... he's clearly young and before the time of nightcore 🤣😅
10:41 Fencing, playing instruments, yoga, learning languages, animal taming
I was introduced to the Addams Family full on in the 1990s. I was a kid when the films came out and dressed as Mortica for many halloweens. We can thank my parents because they watched the Original show as kid s as well as remembering the comics that came out during that time. Even my lil bro was nicknamed Pugsley as a kid and we were the Wednesday & Pugsley duo of our whole family. Also, they raised me on Tim Burton, and two months before I was conceived, their last date as couple w/o kids was Beetlejuice. Also we watched loads of re-runs of the Munsters on the classic channel along with Green Acres ;)
Watching the Addams family evolve overtime has been a lifelong journey so far and the musical we went was great. The cast was so on point!
I've been waiting for this! Thank you! ❤️
This is a cool video. I saw the first episode of Wednesday and want to finish it. It’s also cool to see the other Addams Family movies, shows and the musical too. Also, it’s cool to see Emma again.
Good to see so many clips from '60s show!
Her dance was inspired by the 80's/90's goth wave club scene wirh a dash of the OG Addams Family
I love Enid in the serie, when she finally wolves out it was great
I love these videos so much I’ve been watching s much of them lately!! I LOVE THEM
I was first introduced to Jenna Ortega in The Fallout and she blew me away with her performance. That movie shook me to the core; it was so raw and honest. Casting her as Wednesday was the perfect choice. She's got a great future ahead of her.
As a goth, I mmediatley had to watch this, the addams family song is literally my theme song
Omg i feel so old… I remember when Lucas was just a child and now he’s growing up so fast
Yeah, and now no one likes him
@@turenock i still like him and im sure many people still love, like, and adore him 😊
About time!!!! Yes! ADAMS FAMILY
The fact that Jenna came up with choreography in her hotel room in one night makes it even better, I freaking love that scene ❤
In my opinion, in the original b&w series it looks like Wednesday is the younger sibling, In the 1990s films I thought Wednesday and Pugsley were twins and in the Wednesday series she's clearly the older sibling.
She’s meant to be the younger sibling in every iteration except the recent Netflix series.
thank you so for this, I am a very proud 31 yr old Addams family fan.
Lucas did a good job as Wednesday Addams!!!!!!
i love this channellll
I'm so old I remember these kids on kids react
The Addams Family Groove was one of my first ever Vinyl Purchases with my pocket money !!! I remember it well !!!
I heard that Jenna didn't blink in her scene''s which added to the awesome of her performance!! LOVE LOVE
Someone posted on INSTAGRAM that she only blinked 8 or 9 (they said the number, I just don't remember)
The Addams Musical is one of the best things I’ve seen
I've seen every version of the Addams Family. And I love them each entirely. There's nothing wrong with people not knowing previous versions or preferring the originals or likes them all. I'm happy this group had no nay sayers and they all seemed to genuinely like everything even the ones who haven't seen the originals. They are a good cast. And The Addams Family is the best!
TRUTH!
Take the series as a new interpretation of the previous productions, or take it as a stand-alone production and enjoy it as it is.
If people don't like it they can stick to the older ones.
I liked all the earlier interpretations at the time, but this one is the best - for me.
3:37 Almost all. Morticia, Pubert, Fester, Pugsley, Itt, What, Wednesday, Gomez, Lurch, Thing, Grandmama
I didn't know MC hammer made a song for the Addams family, I was vibing to that
The original dance is where it’s at, why people aren’t talking about why it’s SO much better than the new one, but no one is dancing it only the new one.
RIP the original actress by the way 🥲
Rip to the original Wednesday
I love watching your reactions 😁
It crushed my soul in the beginning of the video and the little girl said “why is she so positive” because being sad is not a fundamental or foundational part of Wednesday Addams’ personality that’s just the new Wednesday Addams personality and it’s because of the breakdown of the character that has happened since the Addams family movie came out. I like the new ones they show for what it is but if I have to compare it to the canon of the character it’s going to get a low rating. Jenna Ortega has my heart.
Christina's interpretation was very dry too, but if it helps consider - this version changed when her scorpion was killed in front of her nd she cut herself off from any vulnerability, and she would have been a couple of years older than Lisa Loring* in that clip from the TV series.
*You should check out her life after the series - it was certainly interesting and colourful.
How they were not impressed by the first Addams family theme song is so flat, I'm a 90s kid but I loved the 60's theme song so much. They were dark but not had a lot of relatable family themes, not everything has to be so dark before it can be appreciated. And the new Wednesday character showed me that you can act dark or emotionless but have a lot of emotions and expressions
Do any of them know about The Munsters? They were on TV about the same time, with a fun theme song. It was an equally good show, but the later renditions were poorly done, and didn't catch on.
I saw the Munsters as a typical Father Knows Best style sitcom with a little twist. I tend to see the Addams Family to be the first family comedy that made it pretty clear the parents are having sex.
Shame you didn't mention Christina Ricci Wednesday in the 90's movies was also in the netflex series Wednesday.
Love how they used The Cramps' , "Goo Goo Muck." ✌️
🖤
I love it!!!!!!!
People forget about Wednesday and Pugsly baby brother Pubert
The 1990s cartoon network The Addam's family cartoons always get forgotten. They really did what they couldn't Irl in these cartoons.
Had no clue abt the Mc Hammer song tho.
I hope they go back n watch the older stuff it's awesome.
Addams Family Values is my favorite!!!
I cried when when Thing was dying.
Also has no one seen the Addams family movies..? They seem so shocked by Wednesday & Puglsey.
Hate to tell you she really is playing the cello she learned how.
I actually just watched Wednesday this past weekend. Christmas night to be exact. Started it at about 10 or 11 PM and didn't stop until I finished the season at around 5 in the morning. Thank god I don't have to go back to work until next week
Growing up people always called me Wednesday so she’s who I identify with. Me and my little black heart 🖤🔮🐈⬛
Love seeing Emma back on React!!!! Miss her!!!!
Right? I haven't seen her this animated about anything since...ever?
I have Anjelica and Raul as Morticia and Gomez tattooed on my leg - it's my all time favourite film
OMG I LOVE THE FITS
there’s also the tv series and cartoon from the 90s 🕸
I'm related to the original Morticia, Carolyn Jones, and the movie version, Anjelica Huston. They were cousins as well. We're all also related to Yvonne de Carlo, who played Lily Munster.
Are you for real
Emma is here, so nice to see her again, how she's grown 😊
jack is hot with eyeliner, every guy needs eyeliner
( Original ) John Astin is still with us, age 92.

I saw the Addams Family stage musical 8 years ago
I had completely forgotten (suppressed?) The MC Hammer Addams family song but a few bars in and *flashbacks*
Why did you not show the cartoons! Those were great
Agreed 😎
Should've shown them the animated one that had a Migos song lmao
I remember some of the extended family. Uncle Goner, Uncle Knickknack, Uncle Cleaver, Aunt Goomba, Uncle Flossy...
Flora and fauna
@@femalepapyrus Oh yeah, the conjoined twins.
You don't know what you missed great show
I like Wednesday because of her comebacks, I can hear "Emotional Daaamage!!" in my head when she claps back at her trolls
Wednesday had a great first season. I hope they have more seasons
Yay Jack! Looking good as always 🥰 Also Jamie is so pretty. Also Jair is such a Queen ☺️
I love the Addams Family
Low key waiting for izzy to be here too; love them all
John Astin was one of the funniest people ever on TV
I remember him on Night Court as the judge's dad. "But I;m much better now."
You guys should react Addams family cartoon version
I love the Wednesday Addams dance!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone looked so good in the makeup 😍
Has anyone saw the Stuck in the Middle clip that foreshadowed Jenna becoming Wednesday? “If my family was a week, I’d be Wednesday”.
