A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. Matthew 16:5-12 It doesn't matter where we are in our walk with the Lord the leaven of legalism, the Pharisees, and Herod can work its way into you if you are not wary. Paul opposed Peter to his face who was also an Apostle because he stood condemned not by God but by coming out from under the freedom that comes by the grace of God fearing the party of the circumcision. Even to this day, we can turn anything into a legalistic work that is not a work that begins with the Spirit thinking we will be acceptable and pleasing to God. God is at work in us both to will and to do according to his good pleasure! God is working, He is the Beginning, the Alpha, the Author, and the perfector of our faith Let us work out with his ability what he works in.
