In a lot of his builds for his kids he mentions "I wish I'd had something like this when I was a kid." What a good and wholesome dad doing as much as he can to give his kids more.
For real I only see my dad like twice a year and all we do is sit around for this two hours doing nothing then he’s out here putting in all this AMAZING effort for his kids. He’s a great dad.
Looks good ... I was thinking maybe you were going to have some pull out drawers on the fronts of the steps. There's a lot of usable space behind the steps ..
This is awesome. I would suggest putting thin strips of acrylic sheeting over the LED's so you sont see individual dots of light but rather a solid glow, looks much better. Otherwise it kills me how having such a nice workshop makes doing projects like this so possible
That’s awesome!!! I wonder if you could have made that last step like a drawer that pulls out as a step box but can be pushed back in and locked so little babies can’t climb up:)
My dad was a diy dad growing up and he always made me cool things and set ups but he was a more “at least it works” than nice clean look type of guy lol. Thanks for showing me how to be a diy parent and my home can still looks beautiful
Lol so cute how you call it trendle instead of trundle. Hmm, I feel like the stairs were lost space: I would have made them open to store books or their shoes or have baskets where they could store stuff 🤔 I do like that bunk bed, had one as a child but however slept on top would bump their head on the ceiling when we got too big. Was so sad when my dad disassembled it into two individual beds 😭
killer project love it, the only thing that I can think, and its very easy, I would had installed two sets of LED lights, so that each can control the color or their lights. killer job, keep it up man, I bet your kids see you as a super hero, that you can do everything. thumbs up.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I need it!!!!! But seriously I really need this. Just got my nieces to raise and I need to make the room they are in a space saver!!!! I wish you could do this for me!!!!! Love your channel!!!
Well done! I agree with the other comments about putting in drawers in the stairs. Also you could construct built in shelves on the right side where the decorative plant was placed. You can never have enough storage with kids.
Glue , screw , nail , dowels , pocket screws all good when building frames for just about anything especially when you have use the above in combination together
I had one of those beds for quite a while (minus the media extras) on the USS Abraham Lincoln, the USS Camden and the USS Rodney Davis! Not quite the same head room for sure...
This is great! You have great skills, attention to detail, and guided us with details which was a plus! Thank you for what you do and more growth for your channel ❤️ Thank toy again for the share.
like your videos, love your passion about the stuff you are doing. You are an inspiration to me. I was looking for ideas on a bunk bed for our boys and your channel was the first I checked. So glad, I did!
I found your channel just now while looking at backyard man caves and apparently I’m already subscribed!? I’ve never seen one of your videos pop up but I’m glad I found it again!! Nice work!
I think on the top bunk where he crawls onto the bed from the stairs should be a little door that way he can have tv on it like the lower one and a complete closed in space when wanted like the lower one as well
Hi recently I subscribed to your channel as a fan and wanted to thank you for all your videos. I'm just starting out in woodworking and it has been very helpful and funny.
Maaan the lucky few kids out there that get parents like this, gets me pretty jealous but happy for them, they don't have to be living such dirty lives like the most of us xD
😂Right, but that’s part of what makes his content so popular and relatable. He is not perfect and doesn’t take himself so seriously. He is funny, creative and a content genius! 👍🏼
Great bed great job, i did one similar to this but i wush i had made the stretchers out of harder wood than pine or attach a piece of hardwood to the front
Man I Wish My Dad Had Your Skills When I Was A Kid🤣‼️‼️‼️
My dad had them but also a substance abuse problem and personality disorders…. It’s like being so close yet still missing out.
Lol mine did… but I wish he used those skills for cool stuff like this. 🤣
We just didn’t really have “the extras” such as lights and gaming consoles due to either being extremely expensive or not even invented yet.
bro I wish I had a dad

Ahw
Unlike my dad 😢 (because everything is how it was in his day)
@@dj_p_1I feel you man😢
Missed opportunity to add drawers in the stairs for toys and random bits. But this is such a killer idea! Awesome build!
I thought that too
Lol I have a bunk bed that kinda looks like this and it has a drawers in the stairs

Make the stairs a pull out drawer or cabinet for extra storage to utilize every inches of the room possible.
Definitely agree to this
I was thinking this kinda triggered me when he didn’t lol
that would probably lead to them being very unstable/safe
@@babyboykins9924 I agree because If something is hollow, the stairs would be , but the be filled with extra weight
I was thinking the same thing.
Looks good ... I was thinking maybe you were going to have some pull out drawers on the fronts of the steps. There's a lot of usable space behind the steps ..
I wish I had a dad.. that cared enough to do this whole project for me. Good job man . Good father👍🏽
This is awesome.

Wow. This is awesome. Such a great dad
Awesome job man I been looking at buying a bed for my kid but after seeing this I'm gonna build my own
If your other son wants a tv as well you can buy a mount the swings out from the wall or you could put it on the back side of the top bunk.

Very awesome! I have a 2 year old and 5 month old and think I'm going to something like this when they're older!
Looks awesome what was the tool you used to tape the plastic before painting
That is awesome!

Thank you very much!
Jesus Christ, awesome. I remember asking my dad for a new desk for about 8 years, then I started working myself and bought myself one hahaha
Awesome job ! I would have liked to see the boy’s reaction.
Thanks and Peace

It's about time! You've been teasing this project on Instagram leaving us in suspense.
I wanted to see the kids reaction! I hope I can be this dad one day!
Awesome project. I am sure they love it! As others have stated, I wish my dad would have had your skills when I was young!

Amazing Job! You did a good thing for your kids! 😁
Thank you!! 😊
Very nice and I love the color also
i wanna do something like this for my kids when i grow up
Love it, only thing is why not make the stairs drawers for some storage? Never can have enough storage in a kids room.
Love this bunk bed. ♥️♥️♥️
You are doing a mint job mate keep it up ,love the content , all the way from Middlesbrough England 👍

the stairs are fortified..you can make it a secret shelf or something to hide in.. well games food or the switch and tv. over all awesome bed..
your such a good dad ,doing this great things for your ids its great
Thank you
Amazing bed but recommend adding some fences on top bunk for protection in case he falls

You should make that little area next to the bathroom some shelves for the kids to put stuff on.

This looks so cool!! It looks straight up from a spy movie
Amazing. Congratulations.
i love how u put all your effort to your children
Your only the father that let kids play video games comfortably
You need some milky white acrylic pieces to cover the LED lights, it will diffuse the light and look better
Wow 🤩 that looks so cool
When he says more room for activities he immediately reminded me to step brothers
I am 10mins2seconds in and it locks sick I wish I had it
Great build.
Love this but it's killing me that there's one spot with no lights up top😅
u & Modern Builds are my 2 favorite wood workers on youtuber..
I wa shoping to see the reaction of the twins how they would like it,but i bet they love it allot ^^
When I was a kid, I slept on a cot under the table. No lie. Dad skills on point.
Bro keep up the good work I want to do this with my kids when I’m older
nice design - I def would have put a "ceiling" in the bottom bunk so whoever sleeps there is not staring at the slats and mattress when laying down
Maaan the lucky few kids out there that get parents like this, gets me pretty jealous but happy for them, they don't have to be living such dirty lives like the most of us xD
Wow u are so talented and a great father

nice. would be handy to have storage in the steps but that would make the project more time consuming
Great bed great job, i did one similar to this but i wush i had made the stretchers out of harder wood than pine or attach a piece of hardwood to the front
you need to add another tv on the opposite end for the top bunk, that kid got ripped off! lol! great build, enjoy watching your videos.
Good idea!!
I have a idea for you to get mor storage for the kids. Include Claps in the stairs, so you can use the unused room
Did you cover up that receptacle? That box should always be accessible.
Thanks for this great idea i was actually getting ready to buy my bous a new bunkbed set up not anymore this is much better idea😁😁👍👍👏👏
Glad I could help
That looks awesome 👍
He said "not enough room for activities." Anyone else's mind when straight to step brothers? Lol
Im sure his sons went in the room and said, where’s my desk? 😂😂😂 1:33 , looks great !
