Dang why does this video pop up when my '94 cd7 blows up, 😢it lasted long tho 286k miles. Fortunately I bought an '02 accord 2 weeks before, but I'm gonna miss that fun lil car. I had the same clear tails the other guy has and was planning to do clear all around.
Great cars! So clean! Would love to do either motor in my 95 EX wagon someday. I’m curious what upper control arms you guys are running?? I used Skunk 2 EF arms to give some clearance but they’re so short and I’m stuck with -4 degrees of camber up front.
I have a Diy upper camber and it's die for a change.( l made my own back in the day that there's not a whole lot of aftermarket parts. Aj is using Hardrace uca. You must have wide tires w/ aggressive offset that's why you need a negative camber.
Ok thanks! Back when I lowered my car I saw people mention the Skunk2 civic EF uca’s allowed clearance and don’t run into part of the body. I didn’t account for how short they are though. I’m running 17x7 wheels with a +35 offset on 205 tire so I don’t need all of that camber. I left it alone since I do enjoy the tucked wheel look, however I do plan to change the uca’s now that there seem to be more options these days. I’ve been daily driving the car for 4 years like that 😅.
Thank you and l hope you enjoy it as much as we made it. Sorry for some clips that cant really be shown coz we're on surface street man! You already have an idea wgat else happened. Tnx again.
Nice accords. I have a 1995 white civic ex sedan I want to either f20b/h22a1/h23a swap, cool to see the f20b vs h22 stroker comparison. Did you guys bar yours here in CA or just got the smog guy hookup? I just want to keep mine all obd1 and don't want to mess with the k series stuff either
@@sagittnet2158 Ya F20b was what I was planning on getting right before all the prices went up on the imported engines wish I got one sooner. Did you bar your swap? I'm worried about spending the cash on all the stuff and getting it on the road now
Quick question Sensei I Have H22a Head and F22b Block will in bolt on with No Fitment issues what should I look out for and the harness should be plug n play with the CD5 Accord Harness correct ?
It'll be like building a g23vtec, since you are using F22b block, yours will be a G22 build. I'm not familiar w/ it, not sure what headgasket they use. Since you have a f22, you can mock up the hg on h22 head or F20b and see if it'll work. For the piston, not really sure what they use since it's 85mm. But if you like, you can have it bore to 86mm and your piston selection is endless, k20 piston can be use. Use your existing engine harness, add wires for vtec solenoid n switch, IAB if using h22 manifold. Knock sensor if using p13 ecu (p28 no need for ks). Iacv and iat sensor wiring, unlace the wiring loom and l think you have enough wire there to hook up. Hope that help. Visit hamotorsports.com, they have good info you can use, under their tech section.
@sagitt net2 I do also have a F23 crank and rod F20B set up on my stand. I think I have the "wrong" K20 pistons but I've been slow to figure out what all else I need to do to make it work and make good power.
Ayos pre! You'll like it, and it's pretty much plug n' play. I'm a member of ATP and seen lots of Accord w/ H swap. It'll be nice if you can build a G23 in PI, it's more powerful thsn H22. Salamat bossing!
i own an f20b..the motor is good.. durability great👍...i match with f20a gear..makeit shortgear good pickup..then i match with f22b gearbox tht makes good for highspeed cruising on hghway..😊😊😊
(Reliability) It's hard for a frank engines coz we really expect a lot of these engines to perform. You know l made a vlog segment about how to make a reliable frank engines. I didn't release it coz it takes out the fun building it. G23vtec is known to have a hi-compression motor and people are not willing to give an inch just for the sake of reliability when building it It's a good engine for a project once you pass all the hurdles.
@@MarcusBarrett-zi8od Around 10:1 ratio, similar to H22a4 and also keep the b/s. If deleting it, use a ati damper. Try not to over rev it so much and l think those are the key components to keep it reliable.
@@sagittnet2158 Ok thanks. I plan to keep the b/s and rpms to the stock H22 redline. Thanks for all your advice to the community…greatly appreciate it.
Got my g23 put together, sadly it did leak so ill be welding the 2 holes in the head shut instead. In the mean time I have an f22a6 head that'll bolt right on (of course still need to make sure the k20 piston doesn't contact) compression calculator says ill be in the 12 range, really curious to see how this setup will feel compared to the g23 with H head hopefully still has that torque! After all do you enjoy your frank motor better with boost or NA for daily?
That's bad news man! And yes your compression ratio will shoot out more than 12.1 ratio. It's best to use e85 to prevent pre-ignition. Did you use Honda Oe F23 headgasket? I really enjoy both of them, the boosted g23 rev much faster and the NA get abuse a lot and l dont have to worry about some vital data l have to watch for on boosted motor. Hope you get your build fix soon man.
I really appreciate the work you’re doing sir.
No worry my friend, anything l can contribute to our community. Thank you for your time.

Hoping my H23A in my CB7 accord performs
H23A is not that far away from the g23vtec, by torque and power. G23 accelerate a bit faster than H23a, l know coz l owned a frank H23a1vtec before.
