I just wanna say thank you for all your tips and guidance. You have helped me so much so now I buy all my products through you and watch all your tips and tricks. I’m not a professional I just do it for me at home because it’s so expensive to do it out at a salon. Also, I am disabled so it’s hard for me to get out and take my oxygen tank in his people sometimes in the rough on my hands because I have RA. I’m social media when I hear someone who is just learning asking about listing I always tell him to go to your channels and protein bond, is a game changer for me so thank you!
Please excuse all my typos. My brain doesn’t work that well I get used to, but I was saying when someone on social media asked about lifting I tell him to go watch a Videos and I tell him about protein bond.
I actually had no idea you guys were on Spotify too. Only found you from RUclips. This changes the game with my driving trips now!😂🥰glad you mentioned that!
What about lifting from the free edge? I’ve been doing nails for about 10 years (sculpted) and seen that some clients can go a really long time with the same set before we need to remove and do a fresh set, but some clients get about 3 fills and their free edge is lifted to the point that it needs to be removed. I tell them everyone is different some people need a full set sooner than others but still wonder why that actually happens 🤔 I do notice if I do an overlay it seems to happen faster than a full set.
When the nail grows out and the free edge isn't getting moisture from the nail bed any longer, it gets dehydrated and loses it's flexibility. With wear and tear, it can start to pull away. Make sure your clients are using cuticle oil on a regular basis (at least once/twice daily) to help keep the nails hydrated and flexible.
Thank you for the video! I have problems with lifting but in the free edge of the nails. Always in my thumb, index and middle fingers of my right hand 😂
Omg! That’s what’s causing my lifting!!! I’ve been cleaning with acetone and adding cuticle oil to “save” my brushes and have ruined quite a few cheap ones. I pride myself in taking extra time in prep and used to have good retention and I couldn’t figure out why I’m getting lifting when I’m not flooding my cuticles. But I do end up with too much of an apex and file a lot so I guess I’ve been putting too much stress on the stress area even though I build it thicker thinking it would help. 😅 I appreciate these videos so much.
Thank you for the suggestion. For both of those nails, we recommend cutting back the natural nails as much as you can and then working on them like you would bitten nails. Here is a great video: ruclips.net/video/wzra5udVdAg/видео.html
As a nail hobbyist, I can attest to 2 coats of protein bond: My current set has had zero lifting so far! put on about a month ago and filling in as needed, although it will soon be time to rebalance 😊
Since silk wraps are not a product we manufacture, we can't give specific instructions for the product you are using. However, if the resin is burning, you may be applying the activator too soon after applying the resin. Allow the resin to set a little before applying the activator. If it is a spray on activator, you may be spraying too close to the product.
Hey Habib and Tracy💗💗 can you guys do a video on how much we should be charging for airbrush designs? Unless you have done this already I’ve looked through YN vids and can’t find one

Actually, in my experience, lifting is caused more by too much e-filing around the nail fold. I’ve noticed when I do very little of that I don’t get lifting. Also if there is too much cutting of the nail fold it grows back so much and really dry.
I 100% support and appreciate Habib when he says people listen while driving. I'm one of those people!! Love your podcasts!
No one in the nail industry does it better, greatest than Young Nails. I 😊love u all...

Hi! Wondering if you can do a video dedicated to ski slope nails and nail beds that go downward

Great information thank you.
What is the best way to apply silk wraps? The resin burns even if it doesn’t get on the skin.

Can we talk about how to prevent lifting on the free edge on thin natural nails?

My own nails lift. And I pick. But is much better since I switched to Protein Bond.
