After the witty interlude (Birks entertained the crowd with some blues harp excercises) the proceedings took of again with "Love For Sale"; the pianist was Hank Jones, by the boppin' way ;) -- And Milt Hinton on bass, J.C. Heard on drums. Big fun!

"A Night In Tunisia" es un tema compuesto por DIZZY GILLESPIE en los primeros años 40 del siglo XX a raiz de su encuentro en N.York con músicos de la orquesta del cubano MACHITO y en particular con el cubano MARIO BAUZÁ, director musical de dicha orquesta, saxofonista, trompetista y auténtico creador del jazz afro-latino-americano

I can't understand what really happened that rainy night in tu-nice,but i don't think rain was the only problem.. the first rythm section,in my opinion, didn't help (the congas guy keep playing latin while the all thing turn swing)and stan getz in the intro seems to be not that straight in the bars, but i think also dizzy wasn't in one of his best night. Does someone know any nice story about wat happened? Or maybe a telephone number to call the band pusher?

, bulloney , where do you get that fat head to tell somebody what they should like or what opinion they should have to as requirement to listen to jazz and PRONOUNCE THAT "JAZZ IS NOT FOR YOU" to anybody

TheHighTower , its far from "awful" , infact this is living proof of how greatness shines thru adversity , asDiz sittin in the pissing rain and playin as gooda those lines and chops that made him great back then as he was here on this date , far from those golden years when he and the others made history but still right at the top
