  • We've made it to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah. We had an incredible trail ride today through 7 Mile rim and down wipeout hill. To top it all off we ran in to the Jeep Concept models on the trail!.

Good stuff sir. I am curious how far you drove to get to Moab and how the Jeep performed, both on road and off.
Did you watch the episodes Brad did in his white 4XE Rubicon (Trailrecon)? He traded it in almost immediately having several issues, electrical…dash light on etc. Brad also said it was not ideal for Overlanding in his opinion due to the small fuel tank, potential issues etc.
Maybe you’re planning an overview on all of this?
My wife and I are heading back to Moab this year from SC with my truck/trailer and her Jeep (‘22 Rubicon 4XE). We plan to do good size portions of the TAT on the way there, then wheel the Jeep out there.
Would love some insight to all the above. Thanks in advance

Bill I ended up shipping my Jeep I’ve got a friend who’s in the shipping business and he was going to Moab so it lined up great. I didn’t have any issues with the 4XE and I’ll do a video or two that shows how capable this thing was. To me and my whole party it was mind blowing. As far as overlanding id argue the 392 and it’s horrible fuel economy isn’t much worse that the 4XE’s small tank. In four low the battery recharges at a pretty good rate as well. I also plan to come back and do the portion of the TAT from Denver through to California. I would have no reservations about doing it in a 4XE.

Thank very much for the feedback, I look forward to the video and review. This is our 7th Jeep and I have no doubt about its capabilities for sure. I am a bit nervous in terms of reliability/issues while on the trail far away from everything. We of course will have my power wagon as well. Very exited to wheel the Jeep, stopping in Ouray, CO for 2 weeks before head to UT (on the Rimrocker…I highly recommend it)

We’re looking forward to it. 4 weeks last year, planning 6 weeks this year. Mostly way off grid disbursed camping
