It is great to see a leaf-sprung Scrambler matching the performance of linked rigs on a tough trail. I loved the part where the Chubby Chaser hit his tail hard on a ledge....I used to hear that sound all the time before I bobbed my CJ8.
@@jeremyrose7541 It's great to show everyone that the old rigs have been doing this stuff for years and you can have fun with what you got! Reminds me of my first Jeep (CJ-7 that was no where as big as that) back when 35s were a huge trail tire and 44s only came on wannabe bigfoot pickups!
Done it multiple times in the old pos XJ(pre permit days). Last time was in the rain, didn't seem that hard although I did smash my roof pretty good. The out on Upper Helldorado is much harder I thought.
OMG HANDS DOWN THE BEST VIDEO OF OFF ROADING IVE EVER SEEN!!!! The noise these Jeeps make, and the bad ass look they have is more like a transformer, like the 90’s cartoon, then a vehicle! AWESOME VIDEO GUYS!
Crazy trail glad there where no break downs. Very happy to see Walter in the passenger seat of MISCHIEF MAKER. Your videos are awesome which mean NO SCORPION 😢 my first time responding to you guys
He right, it does remind you of hammers... It's what I was thinking halfway through the video too. I think it comes down to the old psychology experiment! someone says, pulling up to boulders nearly as tall as the front of my Jeep and a lot of buggies got into some trouble!" Next guy retells the tale, "he was pulling up to boulders taller than his Jeep and even buggies couldn't get out!"
Yeah definitely a good time! Probably one of my favorites in Moab. I want to look at rear steer and see how much worse it is. Our little TJ ate up coyote since we're small enough to manuever real well. Having it to yourself is awesome.
First off I love your channel Bleeping Jeep! and I don't mean to go off on you. But 10-15 years ago a slightly modified daily driver could do most of the harder trails in the Moab area on 31-33's with open diff's! Now 37-40's are necessary! So does that mean in 10 years we will be on 65"s ? Trail closures are eminent and permanent!! I sincerely get the pushing the limit, but wonder where it ends?
Further down the road past area bfe, there is a trail called rear steer, aka big balls that is much harder and longer than Coyote canyon. Coyote is fun, but it is not the hardest. There are quite a few trails in area bfe that are harder as well.
That how we thought all moab trails would be by the way people talk about them. When we got there we didnt even use lockers for most of the “hard” trails lol. Its like driving on sand paper out there.
What axles is he running under the rear steer buggy I can't tell? I need him to do a walk around so I can get some more info on it now that's its finished and on the trails I wanna build one very similar and his is like the perfect size/proportions.
It’s great that people are learning about this trail. It has been shut down in the past by the BLM under an “emergency management order”. This lasted for 3 years last time. Please follow the trail guidelines outlined on your permit so the trail can stay open for years to come. Great video and thanks for sharing. 👍🏼
I think you will be surprised, just up the road is Rear Steer and is suppose to be much tougher, I walked right through Coyote in about 30 min., I have Bumblebee a prototype RockCrawler and is still under construction, I Rated Coyote as a 7 and Pritchard maybe a 6... ? This was definitely an awesome trail with a bunch of awesome people! I definitely felt lucky to be included. Big Thanjs to Rig Time for the invite🧡👊🧡
Ditto to that!👍
I love your ride! On of my favorites
Pretty cool seeing a leaf sprung rig tackle it! Great cinematography Matt! You should do this for a living! 😂
Great video. Really shows how valuable a small rig with rear steer is in the rocks
Love to see Chubby Chaser hanging with all the high $$$ rigs while still running leaf springs all around!
The junker made it through Coyote Canyon! I was definitely outgunned! There were a lot of really nice rigs there!
The $6,000 Scrambler wheeling with $90k JKs 😂😂😂

Not to mention the shackles are still on the front side of the spring, steering side frontend. Can we say darty on the highway, lol.

I'm pretty sure my Jeep would have rolled over and played dead just to keep from going up that trail.
Buhhhaaa!!
I sure would have, don't want any more battle scars like Titan got.
It would be one of the hardest recoveries for MORR if someone broke down on that trail . Thx for the vid. - Ken

I can only say on thing about that little expedition “ impressive !”
Colt's Hooptie tearing it up! Must be the green paint that made the difference :)
Great stuff guys, love to see the CC hanging with the $ rigs
Awesome trail, the rear steer buggy makes it look too easy, I gotta start building one of those!
I was just about to say that, rear steer is a game changer.
Legend has it Grandpa started the trail in his 1958 cj3b flat fender Willy’s. Think he has a RUclips channel.

It's a fun trail for sure
Ol Stephen Baynes. One of the best guys I’ve had the pleasure to ride Tellico ORV with. Hope he’s doing well out there.
That does it. Next Moab trip 509FUN will be hitting coyote canyon on the dirtbikes🤘
Gnarly trail, sick vid 🤘🏼
Rear steer in Moab is about the same overal length. Rated a 10+ I believe.
That's some good stuff there boys and girls!!!

We will be close when we come to Portland for the Gambler 500 but I don't think we have any plans to hit Washington just yet. In the future maybe👍

I’m surprised Holley is not running full hydro.
I like maintaining a physical link for now. Maybe in the next few years, I'll truss out the front axle and go full hydro!

I wonder if you guys could make it up to Panamint ?
Glad to see Jeremy and Holly.
Yes yes!!!🧡🧡🧡
hey 😀💙💙
now thats a fricken line wOw !!!!
Rear Steer is actually the hardest trail in Moab. It's located next to Coyote Canyon.
i don't know, driving back from Moab Brew can be a pretty rough ride

Go the Zook!
When you see Adam roll up in Titan you know it’s gonna be good

I didn't think Pritchett was hard at all. Need to check this trail out next time.
“Colt says there’s a line” LMAO
If a giant rock on the edge of cliff is a line, then I guess there’s a line. Otherwise I don’t see it 😅
Thanks Bleep. Lets do it again!
green jeep may want some limiting straps
Do a video on what tires you use and tires that you like!!!
Now the whole internet knows about it. I ran that in my 4runner back in 2006
Always love seeing the chubby chaser
🤣😂🤣 she is a junker 😂🤣
I like um that way
@6:00 minuets you can see the rubber getting peeled from those stickey Mickeys .
Rear steer is harder and just up the road about 2-3 miles
I think I'll just stick to Fins n Things and Hells Revenge. They're plenty tough for me!
seems like there should be dozens if not hundreds of similar trails around moab.
It always looks easier on camera lol
Zukis for life ! Sick zuki buggy rig !! Zukis piss on jeeps ! Lol haha !
Upper Helldorado is way harder.
Is the chubby chaser a cj8? Or cj7 with scrambler roof?

In case anyone is wondering that is not a trial.. that is a “hey how far do you think we will make it up that way before we have to turn around?” Lol
