Yeah Another Medium is a pretty underrated song
When I first heard it, I immediately loved it, it has grown on me a lot now, it’s my second favorite song now
and that is 1 of the reasons why Another Medium takes my number 1 spot on my list of favorite overworld themes. CORE takes my number 2 spot.
I accept. When i hear Another Medium i get a feeling im going to something dangerous or scary but same time its relaxing.
I absolutely love how the instrumentation in this one reflects Hotland.
Hotland is, obviously, a land of volcanoes. But it's also occupied by a lab and a HUUUUGE building. There's a sadistic, intense background with a "sciency" layer of synths to coat it all.
I couldn't have said it any better.

As you continue on your path, the heat of burning lava next to you starts to intensify. But you keep pushing through. After all, It's just like everything else you have gone through on your journey, and you can't exactly complain, even if there is nothing to be currently happy about. The land just doesn't bring any excitement. No matter if you look at it with positivity or negativity, it's still just another medium.

-A cavern full of water right next to a magma pocket yet there is no steam to blow out the side of Mt. Ebott.
-A child in a (possibly wool or cotton) jumper walking right next to said lava, not phased by the heat.
-Said Child is alive while an entire cup of water (including the cup itself) evaporated/disintegrate into thin air.
