Group of people do everything for one day and abuse the system and get everything first and easy.And right then blizzard nerf events, raids, drops, vendors in the way its harder to get the items and improve and make it two times more harder for casual players, who don't even have time..... Don't understand that logic..
This is a very good point. This is something I've been talking about since at least back in the 90's in EQ. As a past his prime OG power gamer, if you tune balance for the 1% type super sweaty try-hards, you are NOT going to stop them. They will just find some other way to exploit/game/beat the changes. The average games and casuals though, they get punished by changes intended to stop/slow down the try-hards. In the end the devs CAN'T win with the try-hards, they will find a way, and everyone else suffers for those changes. This may not apply specifically to this event or whatever, but in general, if you try to close loopholes the sweaties abuse, they will find another way, and everyone else has to now live with punitive changes designed to stop less than 1% of the games population.

I thought the same thing but I recently got into the game 2 weeks ago and bm has been so fun . I have social anxiety but so many people are lfg it’s easy to get a group . You’ll see people saying lfg healer etc inv them and form a little party. Treat it like it’s a lore aspect in the game

As a Ret paladin i had a hard time finding a meta grp, so i make my own now, My comp is usualy me and 3 other Ret pallys last guy warrior or rogue and i get arround 500-600 coins per event.
They said there will be some sort of drawback for making a raid. But not for a 5-man group it seems? Imo they should penalize groups aswell to make soloplay feel better.

As a hunter I just hide on a mountain and then control my wind serpent with eyes of the beast to last hit people with lighning breath - first time this skill is useful and it makes so much fun lol. Sporadically, someone is annoyed and moves all the way up to gank me. Then I either kill them or do a suicide jump so I dont lose blood. With a good group you can make a bit more blood obviously but I always manage to get to the 255 cap.
Great vod Sarthe, super simple and to the point. Many people are hating on the event for various reasons, but I absolutely have loved every second of it. Anyone who cares about the gy exploit in the beginning, come on WoW players have a 20 year history of digesting content like a kid in a free for all smash grab candy heist. Not everyone took part, and you shouldn't feel behind if you didn't. The gear is super easy to obtain, and if you are solo joining the event just be super smart and either stealth if capable and snipe low health kills, or utilize other guerrilla tactics. The event is designed to be a free for all cesspool, and with the meta skewing towards so many open burst combos its a good fit. Thanks for the work we appreciate you.
the free for all aside from 5 man groups has really been refreshing coming from the super zergy p1 ashenvale experience. my group of friends have been having a ton of fun fighting in the arena every event!
I thought Ashenvale was bad.. stv is way worse with lag. I have no idea what's going on half the time because everyone is teleporting into different dimensions
The event needs a bunch of changes Alone its rather daunting... EDIT: for example in a group you dont even have to fight someone to get blood for them if someone in your party kills them I dont mean to take that away but instead help those that do NOT have a party You could for example award coins for the amount of dmg dealt to the target before it died, this would prevent people from just tagging and getting free coins on mass but also help the solo players

This is very daunting as a casual player, especially if you happen to be solo at the time of the event, but it's all good. I'll run it with some guildies when I have some more time (and when I'm lvl40) and get some blood coins over time. Yes there will be a meta, but this is what ppl asked for after Ashenvale. Real, small scale PVP, warts and all. I got absolutely crushed for 30 minutes as a lvl 30 hunter in a mostly 5-man lvl40 team event (which is how it's supposed to be played), but got out of it with a silver coin to compensate for by bruised body and ego, so it was fine.
The debuff (Drained of Blood) is now normal buff, (fixed 12.2 evening) you cant see it on your target. and tip: if you wanna turn in your stacks after event, make sure your group m8's dont leave group b4 that or everyone in group will lose all stacks.
Booty Bay the guards are neutral, but everywhere else they are hostile. I learnt the hard way yesterday flying into Grom gol camp just as the blood moon started and about 20 guards ran over straight away and killed me as soon as i landed.
Lmao i love how sweaty some of these people are, its admirable because you know its like when we were basement dwellers in the elden times. My whole guild is parents and people in their 30s we have yet to have a lvl 40 but its been a blast so far minus getting rolled by the nolives 😂
well I'm in my 30s and a parent, same for the majority in my guild, we actually have mom dad and son with his friends playing in the same guild, I just did my STV yesterday with a few random groups not meta comp at all and let me tell you it's so much fun ANYWAY. I really don't understand ppl always complaining about necessity to form groups in wow classic....and if they do, they then complain about meta groups...ppl don't know how tno enjoy things.
STV is unplayable since launch. You either are in a different layer than your party, and when you get invited into a new group in your current layer, you will randomly go to another.. Also the lag is insane.
Its skippable for sure, I dont like this event at all but considering I never saw the druid mace drop once for all of p1 I like that there is a somewhat guaranteed way to get a great weapon
i randomly lost 222 blood, event had ended so i was running to the alter i was about 400 yards away from alter and my blood just disappeared where everyone else kept theirs. Iv made a ticket but so far no reply!
Honestly I think even if you're in a group only the player who landed the killing blow should get a blood coin or whatever its called. or if you're solo you get 5 for a killing blow. Otherwise there's no reason to not be in a group. I can imagine being a class without stealth solo in this is a nightmare
Not a pvp fan, so I'm glad it's only 7 coins as a priest to get the ring + cloak. Another 7 when I want both specs I guess. It seems extremely chaotic though, and there doesn't seem to be a good consistent way of farming

"Solo a lot harder" after 1 attempt I walked away with nothing i managed to get x4 blood but once debuf is gone dead in less then 2 seconds There is no way to get to hand in the bloods the groups are simply to many and to big and there is zero ways to heal during the combat. Very disheartening exsperiance.
i get to 5 bloods and get killed by basically any spell nuker class, its nice to play rogue that gets revealed by any aoe ability and has 8 sec cooldown for stealth, 5 min cooldown for sprint, no heal, no root, no dispel to be able to stay in vanish.
Don't worry, rogues will get CoS and all the whistles by 60, it may be a dip now, but it will be legendary. Do not forget the base-class rogue power in classic, with these additions? They are on track to be one of the top pvp classes!!
If you are running STV solo as a healer to PVP you are doing it wrong. As long as somebody in your grp gets the last blow every group member gets blood.
“WTB 4 Boomy Coin Carry PST” …. SW:D also hits way too hard. All the spell power buffs on items and no real stamina improvements for mail and plate gear is scary. I crit melee, ww, and MS’d a Spriest to 80% of his Hp through his shield . He pressed three globals and my 2500 hp was deleted. Homunculus and Shadowfiend hit way too hard too quickly. Damage should be good over entire duration not just insane all together. And yeah… SW:D non crit me for 950damage.
you can literally buy all the items of your class in one day... why bother to do it again afterwards? they should make items a lot more expensive or add more items more expensive now! give every class a weapon choice for example.why priests/locks/mages get only rings? needs a lot of rework imo

I noticed you get +1 blood per pve mob kill. Is there a spot in STV that has very dense mobs and fast respawns? Would this be worth trying?

Guards did in fact attack me in booty bay after attacking a horde. guards do NOT stay neutral during bloodmoon.

You can't turn in after the event ends. You have to wait for the next event and your blood count returns.
