Love this watch. It’s a lot like the Shogun but less costly. Best value Seiko IMO with lots of dial options. Hopefully Seiko keeps improving and offering this in their lineup
Got mine last week. The one I have says Made in Japan on the dial and everything lines up perfectly. According to the serial number it was built on April of 2021.
I went for the "Made in Japan " on the white waffle face also paid $ extra and thinking it's authentic and was suspicious with the ones that don't have because majority of them were cheaper and then again it's possible that it could be the later model 🧐🤔 and have that listing added "J1" as... Made in Japan
Got my White Samurai SRPE37 yesterday. It's gorgeous, wore it to the grocery store and got looks. It will also complement my Gunmetal Samurai SRPB55 that's in my collection.
A Part 2 of Sorts to the Samurai Manta Ray! One of the new King sammys to enjoy! This one I feel I couldn't capture the beauty on my new camera setup So expect a more stunning white in real life! Hope you enjoy anyways bros!
Had to rewatch this video after the purchase last night... I kept ignoring this for months because I was going for the 143 and the 187... Just had to give in FT!
Awesome dial. The only white diver in my collection. Good value for $370. For smaller wrist, the trick is to wear bigger watches with straps that tapers more, in this case 22/18. It feels and fits better. A fun watch.
@@CanttReed in Malaysia. The k models are made by seiko factory in my country. Also, every watch shops sell seiko here. Very competitive. We can also buy from Shopee, our online portal, though already cheap, can still be negotiated.
"...and the Oris...Kinda...kinda terrible" 😂😂😂😂 I just got the Citizen Promaster with the crown at 8-oclock blue/gold. Too much reflection,...blinding, can't see the second hand. Definitely selling it after seeing this video. Thank you sir!
That poor Oris lume. I may cry myself to sleep. I like that while dial. I’m thinking I need one. Maybe a Sinn 104. Congrats on your collab with that AD. Hope to see some Rado watches here soon !
im not sure 100% it was behind glass behind the normal display. like a wall display and i didn't look too good at it. next week i'll take a photo and put it on insta. but he said it was the last one in canada or something like that. remember i was busy staring at the seikos
This watch has intergalactic nanonuclear ultra turbo wanky design. Just love it. If it had sapphire seethrough caseback from factory, It would be the best watch in this universe
I have not been able to see this dial in person. I love a white / black contrast on a good readable dial. I'm concerned... is this dial washed out or so similar in its colors and structures that contrast and at a glance readability is lost? Thanks!!
It's a NO for the "crystal blister". That's a Rolex thing, and they always end up getting chipped. I also was never a fan of that new wide buckle either. I'll take the beefed up narrower style buckle from the Arnie.
@@EscapementWatch I actually took off that metal keeper and replaced it with the same 5 hole from the SKX strap. It doesn't dig into the wrist now. That Arnie strap also makes a better alternative for the SKX.
Escapement & Watch your video has made me really rethink the white dial. I have it and although I really like it I feel it lacks that specialness I was hopping for. Not sure if it’s because I have the white waffle dialled lorier and that watch is perfect 👌 or because I know the save the ocean is out there. Looks extremely gorgeous in the video.
Put a really, really, really nice bracelet on this watch and I think you’re looking at a watch that compares very favorably with much more expensive watches.
I got the blue manta... its amazing!!!! Im getting this next but i want a metal bracelet... 22mm? Or 18mm? Any help? I'd only wear rubber straps on proper dive computer watches. Feels weird diving with metal bracelet and feels weird above water with a rubber bracelet. My dilemma
This looks great and I understand it's appeal but I'm off of seiko for 1 major reason; none of my dozen+ Seiko automatics kept and maintained good time. My skx gets a pass because it was so affordable but my other mid-priced watches were just as poor.
@@Dbrockjohnson I'm happy you disagree if it means your satisfied with what Seiko has to offer. I've been all around the block with 6R15s (sarbs, sarx, sarg, sumo) plus many 7S26s and 4rs... none of them were under 10s/day AND stayed there with any consistency. I enjoyed my time with them and they were good value but now that they've been steadily raising their prices the bloom has come off the rose for me. I kept my Tuna, my skx and my Urushi Sarx (which runs +50 sec/day). It's a hobby for crazy people anyway. Enjoy your time with it.
@@wongpantai9710 I know that it hurts to see your favorite brand criticized but I'm certainly not the only one who has walked away from Seiko recently. Just One More Watch channel just announced they would not review anymore Seikos because they felt the quality had slipped unacceptably. Ps, my life is probably ruined but it doesn't have anything to do with Seiko.

Just got this watch last week. Amazing for my first automatic watch. Thanks
Great to hear!
The Save the Ocean dial is pretty amazing….😂😂😂 I like this waffle dial trimmed in black. It gives the Seamaster a run for the money in LOOKS.
which is my favorite. No contest, the white one is unique and breathtaking.
White is my favourite. Great contrast with white dial and black bezel
I like this Vid sooo much ✌✌🥰🥰
It's a beeeaaaaeautiful Samurai king!!!
It has amazing Dial !!!
Great Vid of you !!!
I love mine so much! That white dial on a diver is something else! 👌🏻 great timepiece for the price!

Still absolutely love the original SKX….sure do wish these would come back as was.
I went with the white waffle… good video
Why does everyone hate the magnifier??!!…. It helps you see the date better !
what kind of SKX is that with blue dial ?
Wished Seiko would also apply lume on the bezel

Such a beautiful watch.
Dang this one is a looker. I'm torn between the white dial and the Save the Ocean dial.
Nice video 😊👍 really considering this one 😍
Good choice
If i had this one 😪. love this one. Thanks a lot ❣️
Glad you like it!
Yep I want this too... Damn... 😩
Here I am 4 months later... Bought this beauty last night! Haha
a neat review. Nice lume, jeez, this gotta be my next achievable dream watch. Does this sapphire crystal really has an anti reflective coating?
Great review, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Should I get this or the gwg 1000 mud master
That watch you compared the lume with...is it really an Skx?...great lume and nice review btw...
No I compared it to an ORIS

maybe a bit washed out. but I never had issue reading it.
What steel bracelet fits this piece?

It is luck of the draw for seiko low end movements. Don't worry about beat error too much as it shouldn't be a deciding factor in buying a watch.
