    I love this stitch pattern. Using it to make a baby carrier blanket. It works really quick while watching a movie. I started the blanket yesterday and hope to finish it today. Have a great day.

    The colorful block reminds me so much of a sweater I used to have. Love the white, and alternate colors. Thanks for this, now I can make me a new sweater! :D Of course with the stitches being so open for a sweater, I would usually wear a small tank or tee underneath.

    I like your version better! I haven't done this as an afghan yet because of the numerous ends to sew in after the color changes. Do you have any ideas for carrying at least the single crochet color up so there are less ends to sew in? Thank you for great videos, makes my day when I find you've posted another new one.

    • @CreativeGrandma
      @CreativeGrandma  7 лет назад +1

      Oh how we hate those weaved in ends LOL I think we all agree , we hate weaving in ends when we change colors. My only suggestion would be to use two seperate skeins of white for the sc, chain rows, as long as you are going to put a border around the afghan you could carry the sc rows up. Unfortunately, because it is every other row it means your ends for the single crochet rows will alternate at opposite sides, so the only way I can think of is to use a seperate skein of white for each side. This is only good if you work a border around the afghan to hide the carry up. I hope this works for you.

    Can you please show how to do the block Stitch. This is a stitch that has a chain row, then slanted sticthes 2nd row , a single crochet . then repeat when turning at 2nd row the blocks fit into the slant block of previous row.

    The blocks look like little train cars to me... I can visualize adding embroidered "smokestacks" every so often for a child's blanket.

      Hello, yes this pattern is great for a baby afghan, if you would like the written pattern to figure out how wide you need it to be then give me a email just let me know which pattern your requesting, this pattern has a multiple of 4 plus 2 so that should help you figure out your starting chain.
